Childhood Dream Games that Actually Came Out

FFVII remade in incredible graphics.

That was always a dream. Rebirth actually delivered a great deal on that and it should get all the respect.

Chrono Trigger. After this game all others felt just a bit more hollow.
Yeah this man. I can't wrap my head around people who want a remake. We're talking about the greatest JRPG of all time, being handled by modern Square Enix....they'd assuredly just fuck it up. It's a Hallmark title, truly one of the best ever made.

The original DOOM.

I dreamed of a game like Wolfenstein 3D but more violent, more horror themed and with complex looking environments that are interesting to explore. And id delivered 100%.

Always wanted a game at home with a driving cockpit so to speak.
Now that is common and awesome with GT7 with or without VR etc. There are plenty of options and it felt inevitable.

Id love to see the same for Flight Sim.

Hogwarts Legacy came pretty close to the game I dreamed about growing up reading the HP books/watching the movies.
We did, of course, get HP games over the years, but even back then I remember thinking it would be cool to have a game that instead of adapting the movies actually let you create a character and be a student and have your own original story.

I'd have liked the school to actually be a bit more relevant though. In the game the classes are litte more than a glorified tutorial.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

I mean, the actual game is maybe a 7 at best, but man, I always wanted a game like that in the Dragon Ball universe. This shit would have been awesome back in the days.

I'm still glad they did it, even if not with the quality I would have liked.
