SWEAR TO HIM!

It is cool that he went. Especially not as The Batman. I don't know why "forcing" him to go, and dressed as a potential trigger was a good idea to some.

Christian Bale...man. Huge respect to him for what he did. Visiting the victims at the hospital and the memorial site? Bro fist.

What happened during Bale's Oscar speech? Why is that a negative?

The only thing I remember was him promoting Dicky Eklund's website in the end that could be seen as a negative.

EDIT: Beaten.

Nothing. Apparently some people have an issue with him giving a shout out to the guy he played in the movie. smh

He also said DeNiro was "the shit" at the Golden Globes that year. That monster.

Gloria Steinhem is his stepmom?

That's oddly cool.

Voloch said Bale notified that he wanted to visit the injured, but asked that media not be notified. "He just wanted to meet with victims and police."

He might don the Batsuit and to interrogate Holmes.

But otherwise, a nice move, yeah.

Man I've read up quite a bit about Bale and he sounds like a pretty depressed dude. His parents separated when he was young, he went off to live with his dad who would push him towards an acting career while his mom wanted him to go to university. His dad ended up controlling his finances and mishandling them. Bale cut off ties with his dad, only to see him die a couple of years later. His relationship with his mom and sister was already estranged from all those years spent with his dad, and he hasn't been able to trust her. In fact, he's said to not be very trusting of most people. He's become a complete recluse, barely shows up for interviews. He hasn't spoken to his mother or sister since the incident at the Dorchester, and hasn't been back to London since until the TDKR premiere, for which he left town the same day, not even staying for the post-premiere cast dinner, making him the only notable absentee.

Dude needs to take on a cheery role so he can method act his way out of whatever he's going through.

He's an asshole (lighting guy, various other incidents), and yet he is real as fuck (doing this, how he breaks down when Ledger is mentioned). I guess I would say that I respect him, even if I don't always like him.

Seems like a really tortured soul though, which probably is what made him perfect for Batman.

He suffers from major depressive disorder according to this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_people_with_major_depressive_disorder
