OK, my mom is yelling at me to do my Christmas list EARLY for a change this year. The problem is, I'm lousy at saving stuff for the end of the year so that OTHER people can buy me stuff.

Any suggestions for the best DVDs and books that you've read this year? How about appliances or gadgets? (I'm still looking for good coffeemaker/grinder recommendations.) I probably have CDs covered (there ain't much left out there), and my videogame backlog is just sick at this point. I'm picky about my clothes, so those are things I'd have to drag her out to buy in person.

I'm in the same boat, man. I really don't think I need anything, but my parents want to get me stuff. Just trying to come up with ideas right now is pointless because all I can come up with are rather lousy ideas.
