Christmas is the best time of year and nothing amps up the Christmas feeling quite like Christmas Lights.

Every year there are 2 standout houses in my neighborhood. One didn't have their lights on tonight, so I only got a picture of the other. The one I missed is like this, but with a bigger house and colored lights.

I'm encouraging everyone at GAF to get off their butt, pick up their camera, and spending a few minutes finding and photographing the best looking house in their neighborhood.

Well, if my sis ends up taking my cousin to see the lights this year and takes pictures, I'll try to get them scanned in. There are a couple of very affluent neighborhoods in Brooklyn (Dyker Heights and Mill Basin, for those familiar) that just go ALL OUT with the Christmas decorations-- we're talking easily $10K per house spent on lights, elaborate lawn setups, and giant animatronic robots (literally). Some people pour like $50K into their decorations, easily-- it's really a sight to see. Anybody who's in Bklyn should check it out. :)

You know what really amps up the Christmas feeling Oli? SNOW! (and I'm not talking about your pussy ass "blizzard").

Pics to follow (snow included) ;P.

We don't have snow here and you know it.
I don't need it rubbed in.

We had some in St. Louis, though!

Not too many people in my neighborhood do a lot of decorating as far as figurines and whatnot, because the shithead gangstas steal them and whatnot. So for us, it's just a nice outline of the house with the old-school big-bulb lights:

And the tree is usually nice looking

First tragedy, then farce.
I'll run by 42nd street this week.. I dont know how it happened, but that street looks like a christmas light factory exploded. Last year I had to wait 3 hours in traffic to drive down the street. You know how much it would suck living there during Xmas?

I know of a house that goes ALL out every year. The day after thanksgiving EVERY year, it's insane the amount of stuff out there. I'll take pics later this week and post them.

I'll get a picture of my house with our 13-foot tree in the window after it goes up next week, and i'll make an effort to stop by this guy's house who is just insane every holiday. He even dresses up as Santa and sits in his shed.
