Christopher Plummer has passed away at 91, his family has confirmed. He passed peacefully at his home in Connecticut, with Elaine Taylor, his wife and true best friend for 53 years by his side.

Lou Pitt, his longtime friend and manager of 46 years said;

“Chris was an extraordinary man who deeply loved and respected his profession with great old fashion manners, self deprecating humor and the music of words. He was a National Treasure who deeply relished his Canadian roots. Through his art and humanity, he touched all of our hearts and his legendary life will endure for all generations to come. He will forever be with us.”

I really only remember him from All the Money in the World. He was fantastic in that... too bad the film didn't do well because it was already tainted by Spacey's pedophilic stink.

RIP.

Christopher Plummer Was a Diehard Trekkie Before Being Cast in 'Undiscovered Country' | Hollywood Reporter

"I was a serious Trekkie when it first came out," Plummer told Shatner in the doc. "I was living in England all through the 1960s, but I watched you on television over and over again."

Quipping it was 100 years later when he was asked to join Star Trek VI as the iconic Klingon Gen. Chang, Plummer said he delighted in being bald and sporting the villain's eye patch.

"I looked a bit like [Israeli military leader and politician] Moshe Dayan in heat," Plummer joked. "And I had the most marvelous time playing with you guys again."

a great loss to the movie and theater circle. his performance had been on point even in some of the less serious films he's in. RIP to another legend.

I think I'll rewatch Knives Out again. was that his last on screen performance?

Yet another "celebrity died" thread. Yeah I guess he was pretty cool and had been around forever. I always just ignore these threads though, every week some minor celebrity croaks and some bored goon thinks "OH IMMA BE FIRST TO MAKE A THREAD BOUT IT" *yawn* "RIP this person was cool" is not compelling content and I wish we could not do this, you can click on your news website of choice to see who died lately.
