Spent 3 hours of my first game on Civ 5, why? Because of the civilization culture, war systems, tough choices. Great series and has been capable on consoles for a long time now.

Same, turn me off from civ 6. Everything looks so goofy and it lost all the gravitas.Even the tech quotes were awful in 6. They need to bring the tone back of the earlier games.

While I love the civ games and it's always an on going game between friends that can last weeks sometimes.

The last thing I want to see or will be excited to see at a big event or showcase is civ gameplay .

Don't get me wrong, a 25 min vid uploaded to youtube explaining how all the victory states are gonna work and the new mechanics would be great. But watching a live show, nah civ ain't the game yo.
