Just checked this mod out



It's a nice start at converting doom classic to the doom 3 engine, I like they even have an opening intro (much like doom 3), telling the story of doom classic (even has voice acting heheh).


hopefully they can complete it but it is an awesome start.

Thanks for pointing this out. They did a good job on remaking the levels, though the visuals and aiming/shooting gameplay absolutely suck in exactly the same ways Doom 3's did. Not their fault, though. Fucking Doom 3. :/

Here are some console commands to make the camera movement more tolerable:

pm_bobpitch 0
pm_bobroll 0
pm_bobup 0
pm_runpitch 0
pm_runroll 0

I think that covers 'em. You may want to bump pm_runspeed up a bit too so it feels closer to Doom 1/2.

Not view bob so much as the spastic head jerks that accompany every press of a movement key in Doom 3. The original Doom games had a nice, gentle bob that was vaguely hypnotic. The mod doesn't alter Doom 3's at this point, and I quite dislike it.
