$22M to $19M...

Obama is still ahead for the year though. And total REP donations trail total DEM donations by about $90M.

Is this proof Obama's hype is beginning to flame out?

MSNBC

Obama raised more money for the rest of the year though. This is traditionaly the slowest quarter anyway, so it doesn't really mean much.

Well I have recurring payments with Obama so don't blame me! Btw, I actually donated to a Republican candidate a few days ago, can anyone guess who?

Ron Paul? :)

I'm pretty sure at this point it's a runaway victory for Hillary, she was 20 points ahead of Obama last I saw. She and he should just resolve to play nice and combine views so they can share the ticket next year.

Does anyone honestly think Obama has a chance? It's useless to even talk about him. He is dead dead dead. No candidate since Walter Mondale has ever had the kind of lead in the primaries that Hillary has right now on the Dem side.

To the post above, Hillary won't have Obama on his ticket. Her list of potential vp's likely is Evan Bayh, Wesley Clark, and Bill Richardon.

I'll reiterate my ongoing point that Clark is a creepy dude. I can see him being Sec Def, but VP?

It can't be Clark, you can't have a man best known as a General as your running-mate if you're hoping to cultivate the anti-war vote. No matter what his views are.

i don't understand american politics..so i'll ask this question:
who gives them this money? big mega-corps like pharmaceuticals, oil companies, insurance and others? if so isn't that bribery?

Nope, individuals do for the most part, corporations can't give much at all, and then only through a shell system of other individual contributions.

Hillary isn't trying to cultivate the anti-war vote though. She is positioning herself as VERY hawkish.

Also about Clark, it doesn't matter anyway. It's going to be Bayh.

Knowing Obama's supporters, I don't think money will ever be an issue for him. He just needs to worry about keeping Edwards down and forcing him to concede early to stand a chance.

Hillary crushing him everywhere currently might also be a bit of a worry one would think.

History tells us that frontrunners don't walk away with the nomination. Hillary's lead in national polls is not what matters, primaries are not national. You have to look at it by individual states at this point.

This inevitability meme is rediculous, and people will realize this.

who should i vote for? i'm 20 years old and dont know if i should vote for the woman, the black man, or the republicans.

Howard Dean led with like 17% at this point. No one had a clue who they liked.

Hillary's national numbers are near 50%. The "meme" of THE FRONT RUNNER DOESNT ALWAYS WIN is just as silly.

George W. Bush was the front runner in 99 and got the nom wadda know.

My point being, the two campaigns (Obama/Edwards) are sharing certain segments of the Democratic party. For one campaign to falter it would mean a pretty large boost to the other, no doubt.

No one should tell you who to vote for... read about the candidates; get behind the one you think supports your own feelings and ideas most.

meh, it's also foolish to think that he's dead before the first primary even hits. i think obama has a ton to overcome, but it's not exactly out of the realm.

and i think Richardson has the best shot at being VP - he's a former Clintonite, has an outstanding resume and would score Hill some bonus PR points for the latino vote.

I honestly don't get this.

The people who hate on Hilliary back Obama because he is the opposite and they see him as a savior or something. So wouldn't him teaming up with her make him a sellout? It would basically be like McCain joining with Bush in 2000 or something.

Unless you guys plan on shooting Clinton I don't get the whole Obama VP thing. You can't stand to vote for her because she is the devil but teaming her up with Obama makes you want to vote for her? That doesn't make any sense. The VP does practically nothing (besides the current one) so how does him joining her ticket make it more appealing?

You can't spell Hillary without Ill and that's what she is. Her Demonic chuckle makes me want to punch her in the face...if only I were evil as she is...I'd make it happen.

The Democrats and Republicans make me sick....mission accomplished indeed.
