Shame that I would never be able to play a game of this difficulty. >>;
Seems like there isn't much hype for this game. Is it any good? $10 seems kinda tempting on Wii U.
This game looks like the opposite of fun.
If you can simply appreciate the gameplay of it, then it's good. Many in this thread seem to love it's dynamic, adjustable difficulty, and if you can all get into the game's rhythm, it can be fun to play local co-op together.
But if you want games with some character, personality, or professionalism to them, then no, it's horrible! Presentation is really amateur all around, from visual to sounds. It's mechanically good, but has no clear soul to it.
It's one of very few digital offerings that even I'd suggest one wait for a sale on; it just doesn't seem to have the polish of a $10 game in this day and age. You'd be better off spending the money on just about any other gaming curiosity, for now, IMHO.
So on the fence, is there a demo on anything?
yeah, the same here, was really hypnotized @_@Hypnotizing.
Mr. Spiky Ball is way too happy!
Also I lost a decent amount of progress as I did not realize it only saves on each Chapter in Story Mode, and unless I am missing something very obvious, I did not see any clear indication of exactly what Levels make up each Chapter.
Turns out I made the same exact mistake myself. Finally realized it pretty much by accident.I made the mistake of not realizing there was a "Continue" button at the top of the story mode menu. I kept starting the chapter over and over again until I checked this forum and saw someone post about it.
This game has an excellent pacing. Like, Super Mario encourages you to fly through stages but punishes impatience. Cloudberry Kingdom is like the opposite; the crazy obstacles would push you towards caution but the path through generally "unlocks" (all the pieces are in the right place) when you are going full speed ahead. If you stop the obstacles get out of sync and you can't progress.
Brilliant.
