I'm not sure what exactly about them frightens me, to be honest. It's something I can't quite pinpoint...

When I was a kid, before my parents (or even I) knew about my aversion to clowns, I had a toy chest painted with clown decorations and clown curtains in my room. They both freaked me out so much that my mom eventually removed them.
