i think the main reason, was because we all did it so young tbh, from like 13+ we had drug experiences, so when it got to later on in life, we had already moved on
doing something like coke in your late 20's..........yeh i can see how people could get addicted......ill be honest, coke is a wank drug anyway, pointless, and probably the most expensive pleasure/cost drug there is
its utter shit.
sorry my life and experience, doesnt fit into your little box 'drugs are addictive' because thats just not true at all. out of the 50+ i know/knew all doing the same shit, none of them are addicts now or were then, and now have all moved on to better things and grew up fine
now how are we all gonna be in another 30-40 years........well who knows, perhaps we'll all have mental issues from getting smashed all the time, but by that time who gives a fuck anyway

Only drug that I would say was near an addiction for me was GBL about two years ago. I lost a good job and used it as a coping mechanism to survive the abject horror of being on job scrapheap in late 40s. I've pretty much given up everything as well. I'll still pop the odd 'E or some Meow at a rave or club when they open again (if they ever open) but days of doing anything recreationally at home are long over. Same with booze.
But agreed, they can be magical and open you up to great experiences. Laying on the sofa with some music after popping an 'E and cuddling the one you love was a great experience. You open up to each other in ways you never would normally.

Also, I live in "the hood"; I've been around people who smoke Marijuana and who have tried to get me to do so, but I don't give in to peer pressure. Marijuana shrinks the brain over time and makes people dumber.

Nightlife in Tokio isn't really that great tbh. Sure, there are bars, clubs, and hookers like in every city of that scale and you can have a great time. But it's nowhere near the craziness of something like Bangkok or Manilla.
