Code Violet | Story and launch trailer | PS5 and PS5 Pro (January 2026)

I think it looks fucking sick. Ill guinea pig the fuck out of it on Saturday. Might even do early access.

The dev has made some pretty sketch and janky shit in the past but this just...looks like something else entirely. Im too curious to avoid it.

The view is nausea inducing. They managed to have a small FOV using black bar top and bottom. Unplayable in such a game and it looks 30fps too. At some point the dino jumps above the player view.

It is 60 fps for Ps5 pro as per developer. The developer said the game even has ray tracing on both base ps5 and ps5 pro. For base ps5, i was also hoping for 60 fps, but it looks like its a stable 30 fps. I played both silent hill 2 remake and death stranding 2 on quality mode 30 fps on base ps5 and all are fantastic and beautiful and for me it did not affect the gameplay and combat.

And I took the gamble on Hell is Us and after finally sinking my teeth into it, it wasn't my bag. Dare I say I had a better time with MindsEye.

given this dev's history, I expet this is going to be such a shit show. I bet the game is largely disfunctional and what you see in the trailer is everything that is even slightly presentable.
 
I was excited about a single player dino shooter until I heard about their reasoning of not porting this to PC. When I pointed out the hypocrisy, they blocked me on twitter.

Money saved. At least Saber Interactive is releasing Turok Origins this year (you can choose between 1st person and 3rd person view), so I'm getting a good single player dino shooter, thank God.

Let us give Teamkillmedia a chance. They are just indie they said. They are aware of the issues and bad reviews of Quantum and they said they learned from it. For Code violet they said they really work hard for it to be a very good game even if they are just an indie developer. Studio Bloober was also bad before but look how SH2 remake turn out, and SH2 remake was a fantastic game. Ironic that despite of many criticism and issues on UE5, the UE5 might be a big help this time just like in SH2 remake.

If it turns out even at least a 7/10 type of a game , then it is already a winner. What matters most is if it will be fun and enjoyable. We shall see.

I have a good feeling this will be a decent game, maybe a sleeper hit. If it turns out even at least a 7/10 type of a game , then it is already a winner. What matters most is if it will be fun and enjoyable. We shall see.

No one out here is singing that games praises…

It may just be easier to invest in some AI porn or a hentai game on steam. Buy some dinosaur toys and bust a nut on a T. rex doll instead.

Likely cheaper and faster than subjecting yourself to this game.

But hey there's always that 1% chance it ends up being like a Deadly Premonition.
