Cold showers are fun because they can counteract torpor and put me in a better mood.
Colds aren't caused by temperature...planar1280 said:cold cold shower will give u a cold. hot to cold shower is the best

Your body responds accordingly. Warm shower triggers your cooling system, while a cold shower turns on the heating.

Wrong. You don't get a cold from being cold.planar1280 said:cold cold shower will give u a cold. hot to cold shower is the best

You see unlike the rest of you pagan heathens, I was raised right.

This is true. I need to start up on them again. I did it for a few months in the summer and it was so much more refreshing.speedpop said:Cold showers are the best. Sure it might give you the heebiejeebies straight off the bat, but you walk out of it like Superman.
I'm in Rochester, so I know that feel bro. I even don't like to use the fan because it pulls all of the nice steam out. I still end with cold though.Bgamer90 said:I live in Buffalo.

I usually go this route. Open the pore of your skin then close it with really cold water.planar1280 said:cold cold shower will give u a cold. hot to cold shower is the best
Those two events might be correlated sometimes, but one did not cause the other. Chilly weather "causes" colds because it leads to people being cooped up inside together, thus sharing more germs.crimzonflame said:Then why do I catch a cold if I leave the window open duing a chilly night?
Not really. The effects of temperature on the immune system are minor, and might even be positive. Link: http://www.everydayhealth.com/cold-and-flu/colds-and-the-weather.aspxbucknuticus said:Your immune system gets lowered as your body gets colder, so youre more open for disease.
