No, but you will gradually become a woman. Whether that's good or bad is up to you.Riposte said:I take 10-15 minute brutally hot showers every single day. Am I going to die?
Pikmindictator said:I always 'rinse' my hair with cold water. I'm still on the no shampoo/soap regimen so that explains the quotation marks. But I have to say it does seem to be an improvement, i.e: hair is less dry. I think I will try showering with cold water for a couple of minutes at the end like the mentioned James Bond/Scottish shower tomorrow morning.

Some people sneeze reflexively at large changes in temperature, usually going from cool to warm, but sometimes the other way as well. It could also be the humidity.MWS Natural said:I hate when the shower makes me sneeze like crazy. No idea what causes this.
Greasiness was quite severe the first couple of weeks. Now i would say that it is slightly greasier than when I was using shampoo, but not nearly as bad as those first weeks.jaxword said:How's the greasiness of hair? I wouldn't mind seeing a pic (just cover your face or something).

I don't wanna sound like a pussy, but my house can be cold as fuck during winter and a cold shower on top of that may actually kill me.
Seriously (about the energy and happiness)?Alpha-Bromega said:I can confirm with the validity of SCIENCE that this works, i've never felt more energetic, happier and just awesome as i have since i started taking cold showers.

This post coupled with your avatar is just perfect lol.Mordeccai said:I just did this.
Stepped in the shower, stared at the showerhead, turned the handle slightly on, and fucked that cold water up with my face. Thats right, I beat the waters ass.
Ain't no cold water gonna make me scared. I then proceeded to wash the body and hair, while smiting freezing water droplets all the while.
After a time, I turned off the water, and exited as Azor Ahai reborn. Oddly enough, a flaming sword appeared in place of my toothbrush.

It wasn't intense or anything, but not being able to breathe because of the cold water was strange. I got used to it after 2 or 3 minutes and it became more pleasurable.

Same. Shower normally then finish off with cold for about a minute. Really woke me up.HappyBivouac said:Did hot -> warm -> cold this morning. Feels good.
You should've just made it cold the whole way through.AVclub said:Tried it this morning. My house was pretty chilly. I had my regular hot shower. Then, when I was covered with soap by the end, I turned the hot water off until only the cold flowed over my body. It shocked me in almost an electrical way. Made me yelp each time it made contact with my armpits or crotch. Once I was rinsed off, I turned off the water and toweled myself down. I was still very cold. Had to run back to bed and jump under the covers for a few minutes before getting dressed.
I didn't feel any better or worse the rest of the morning. It was just an uncomfortable moment or two in an otherwise typical day.
