Mixed feelings about this. I used to REALLY like Colin when he was with IGN. After he and Greg left to start KF, I slowly started losing interest in hearing what he had to say, probably because he became more jaded and seemingly less interested in the industry in general - and let his political views become the loudest voice at KF. Beyond used to be my favorite video game podcast. PS I Love You could have been great, but it evolved into a rapid fire podcast of stale bits and segments, and it just got old really fast.
I have no idea what this means for PS I Love You, I hope Greg and Tim decide to keep it going. I'd be happy to give the show another try with this shakeup.

Seems like this was inevitable, but I wish Colin luck with whatever he ends up doing next.

He always rubbed me the wrong way, but man that tweet was damaging for something that is clearly a joke. I'm as anti-Trump and alt-right as it comes but my goodness the shit I hear in person when playing sports or out with buddies having a beer would put to tears anyone who's legitimately stirred by Colin's tweet. Jeez

I'm more of an Easy Allies guy so I can't really tell what else Colin has been stating but it does feel like his negativity and lack of gaming enthusiasm didn't make sensne for KF anymore.

It's not about if the remarks hurt people or not, it's more about encouraging a society that's just nice.

I mean I could curse the heck out of every post and call everyone disagreeing with me names. But we have rules against that not because most people will get deeply hurt by that stuff no but because it creates a nicer environment for discussion. The same way when we dial down on awful jokes that are misogynistic in nature will create a kinder environment for decent human interaction easy as that.

It's time for your boy Tim to shine

If this is the future of Kinda Funny they may as well close doors now.

No, he didn't.

Half the stuff being thrown around in this thread is coming from people who read his tweets here and there and/or caught a 30 second sound byte.

The people who really know and follow KF know that and know what kind of person Colin is. I wish I had the time to call out all the posts for their inaccuracies, but there are so many.

Please humor us then.

He supports racist and sexist politics. Good riddance.

Hope the door hit you on the way out and I hope your awful hate filled politics haunt you for the rest of your shallow empty life.

You might not like Gies as a critic and he has some bad taste in games at times, AC3, but he always is pretty straight up about his politics. No surprise he disliked Colin.
He's the new intolerant face of the supposed tolerant left, the worlds a strange place right now.

If he simply spoke out against the crazy talk from his right wing fans (like he did with the left) and tried to be reasonably right wing and fair, he probably wouldn't have been canned. But since he had a carefree, I don't give a shit attitude about the Tweet and in things in general, KF had to pull the plug. It left the fanbase divided between people calling him out for his comment and another side calling those fans crybabies. He created a toxic environment for KF. They've always been uncomfortable with how political he is. You could tell.

He basically made the rest of KF look like disloyal snakes to Colin's fans by his carefree attitude about the Tweet.
Yep, this basically. The other guys don't agree with him politically, and have never liked that he tried to make the shows about political subjects. None of them are knowledgeable to really stand up to him in that sphere either, so it was just a bad scene all around. It's also been obvious over the last year that Colin has become tired of games coverage and wants to cover political issues more and more. But Kinda Funny is a games channel, not a political one.

Can't say I'm surprised. In this heated political climate his personal politics were beginning to overshadow everything else he was doing.

I never liked him at IGN so have easily ignored Kinda Funny Games. Maybe now I'll give them another shot and maybe Colin can be less of an ass in his next gig..

Pointing out inaccuracies takes a few seconds, you could've pointed at least one out in the time it took you to say how difficult pointing out inaccuracies would be.

Man, as someone who doesn't follow the new wave of these weird YouTube personality based game companies, this shit is all so confusing to me.

I tried watching this video of him and Jason Schrieier (sp?) talk together and realized it was 1h45m long.

Who has the time for these guys? Don't people have games to play instead of listening to other people talk about them?

I never understood why people liked this guy anyway. One of the biggest cunts I've seen in video game journalism with a head so far up his own arse he's practically turned himself inside out.

This guy single handedly stopped me from ever wanting to watch/listen to Kinda Funny. Will give them a chance now.
