I noticed a few months ago Colin was becoming more extreme and erratic in his comments, and had gotten extremely critical and negative. It became a turn-off for me.
He is, he's a fucking scumbag human but he is kinda smart to get to where he is today

That wouldn't have changed anything. They separated because Colin wants to be able to say what he wants without causing problems for his friends and their company. Telling him to knock it off would have just accelerated this and the same result would have happened.

but yeah, an absolute lunatic/mad man. For what it's worth Colin meant more based on what you see above. Like it or not, evil people can be intelligent/book smart. That's often the most deadly combination when it's an intelligent person behaving like a snake.
Many will simply not accept that though, so will call you out. It is possible to be objective when describing someone's qualifications/IQ, then subjective to absolutely trash their personality/personhood and policies/beliefs. For some admitting that means you somehow support them, which is nonsense.

Colin and Greg had such a great rapport that I really can't imagine some of their shows continuing without him. I've been watching their content for years and, while Colin was certainly audacious at times, I never got the feeling that anything he said was delivered with malicious intent. I really disagree with him on a lot of issues, but I think he might be right about the echo chamber here. The hyperbole in this thread is real and kind of surprising.
But what people aren't mentioning is the sad exchange where people pointed out that Steve Bannon was an actual nazi and responsible for approving all sorts of reprehensible Breitbart articles. Colin was being wilfully obtuse in dismissing everything people said. Basically excusing Bannon for all the shit he pulled.
Also once again people attribute much more intelligence to sociopaths by the sheer fact that they do things more decent people would never consider doing.

Smart people can be reprehensible people. Being qualified and having multiple degrees isn't a guarantee your moral compass will be balanced.
I guess the word smart is what you don't like, but it's clear most are describing what a University would call you to get your degree with honors, smart. Often some of the most successful public enemies/dangerous individuals and so forth, especially those in politics, are smart. They have qualifications, degrees and other things that have helped them climb the foodchain.
How many everyday individuals in your life do you know with multiple degrees?
Intelligence mixed with a lack of a moral compass is exactly what IS dangerous. Don't down play it :/ It's not approving of someone, it's being objective that their intelligence is often what has let them slither into a position of power.

Yeah. I used to like watching/listening to Colin and Greg on Beyond. But slowly over the years Colin wore on me to the point that I just couldnt take him anymore. I havent even been paying attention to him for the last while and looking back at what hes been goin on about the last while, I'm pretty glad I did.
