Except even they could put up 20+ points each.
After Kansas City I expected 10 points to be on the high end.

Also, anyone got that awkward coach jumping in the air and trying to high five the Alabama players as they left the field? Need a .gif of that.

LSU's QB doesn't even have the decency to be the kind of sucky QB that will just sling it. He just weakly runs out of bounds.

That's what gets me. They're not even trying to play interesting football.

I remember LSU's offense being better earlier in the season when Lee was in. I know he threw two picks against Bama in the first game, but Jefferson has been terrible.

Impressed with Upshaw tonight, sack was shit but he's playing with a good motor and showing good instincts. Gets talked up a lot but he's a solid player. Thick frame and closes quick.

I'm not even sure what you're trying to say? Should the defense let them get a few drives together to make it more interesting for you?

my point is that there is a difference between a defensive matchup and an AWFUL offense. jordan jefferson isn't even a starting quarterback in the big east, what the hell is he doing starting for the #1 team?

Yes he should just throw the ball into coverage. Why aren't you a QB coach? You must've studied at the Brett Farve school of Quaterbacking

That early play where he took away both option reads was dope.

edit: Bama's gonna win this game like 30-6. I'm losing interest.

I dunno, he is pretty bad. I suppose Perilloux was meant to be the starter but I'm not sure how they couldn't get someone in that was more functional since then.

Alabama's offense is doing fine. Are they scoring touchdowns? No, but most of this game there has been no reason for them to break out of their shell. Playing conservative because LSU has done zip.

Are you pretending that this game doesn't suck and that the scoreboard reflects great defense rather than a consistent stream of piss-poor offensive play?
Alabama is moving the ball decently enough, just struggling to finish in the redzone. LSU is legitimately sucking on offense. These are two fantastic defenses as well. Maze injury is probably hurting the game as well.

I don't have a problem with what Alabama is doing. The way LSU is playing against McCarron's pass game though has me wondering how they would have even dreamed of stopping OkSt though

I really should have expected less of LSU, they have 2 of the worst coaches on staff that I've had the personal displeasure of watching live

The fact that a 13-0 team is debating switching QBs in the middle of the national championship game because their starter is terrible makes me unhappy. What a joke.

I don't think so. I am sure people would vote for them in the AP but they wouldn't get enough.

Well, after all, they did WIN their conference, Alabama never went to the conf champ game. So even if Alabama wins by 12, LSU is clearly the better team 'cause of conference champs and beating Alabama before.

HA!

Are you trying to say one has nothing to do with the other?

I'm trying to say one doesn't exist.

The defenses have nothing to do with the shitty offensive play, when the shitty offensive play is UNFORCED ERRORS the vast, vast majority of the time. We've had THREE Alabama possessions in a row where you've had WIDE OPEN recievers (not great defense by any metric) missed by two shitty throws by the QB and one drop by the WR when it was thrown right in his hands.)

Add to that all the shitty snaps, bad reads, bad throws, bad drops, RB's running right into the backs of blockers, ect. that we've seen in this game.
