I do think that there are some areas of the team that UGA could really improve in the future with a different focus in recruiting. One constant on Bama's teams is their lines. OL and DL are best of the best. UGA has always focuses on QB's and skill position players. That's Richt's wheelhouse. If we start recruiting thinking about our lines, things could quickly change. As of now, our OL recruits this year are already looking better than they have in a few years at least.
That's the not-secret secret. Have a really good D-Line, makes the LB's and secondary better than they are. Have a good O-Line, helps RB's become productive, and you have more leeway on average quarterbacks.
Now, UGA might have had a preseason "good" Offensive line, but at some point, their average quarterback was exposed, and their running game faltered, and their offense just sputtered. Losing Chubb is the biggest reason, but did their O-Line turn out bad?
