Well, I was gonna ask if the Mike Leach to New Mexico had been talked about...but...I can't seem to formulate thoughts after that.

If BCS lifts 2-teams per conference cap, huge advantage for SEC, B10. Both will get 3 per year. Others stuck at one

Just in time for A&M...

....

......

;)

B1G will get three teams? Are they inviting ND and getting the ND treatment (do better than .500 and get into a BCS bowl!) for the entire conference?

It's really more implied that, hey, if your conference has 3+ 10 Win teams, and are in the SEC or SEC, you'll get 3 BCS game spots.

Big Ten teams usually get preferential bowl treatment because the fans travel well and spend money. It's why the Big Ten has placed more teams in BCS bowls over the last 10 years than any other conference (including the SEC).

Big XII-2 is the strongest conference in the country and we have 7 undefeated teams. Big 12 gets four of those spots. One in each BCS bowl except for the MNC which will be 2 SEC teams

Does BYU have a network? I thought that was part of the reason they went independent. Guess is doesn't matter much in the B12.

They have an international TV station in BYUtv, however its non profit.

I don't know what the hold up is either.

I think it may have something to do with rights to broadcast games on BYUtv that are not picked up nationally and rebroadcast rights. BYU got burned badly in the MWC with a bad tv deal and they don't want something like that to happen again.

this is what I have been hearing but I am in no way connected to the situation.

RC was getting pantsed by Mack Brown and Bob Stoops in recruiting his last couple seasons. This was also when A&M considered themselves to be better then Texas, and finishing 5th in the Big 12 South was unacceptable, not that we would know what that's like. *shifty eyes*

And no, he never finished a season under 500. I think the ags just saw what Texas and OU were able to do with just a good coaching hire, and thought they had a sure fire winner with Franchione. Worked out well for them.

Did we chant both "Pooooooor ag-gies!" and "KEEP RC!" in 2002? Yes, yes we did.

Aggy has an army dude (Sarge?) and a dog. And they are fightin farmers.

Maybe they belong in the SEC.

So what would it take for the Big East to actually lose BCS AQ status. If they lost like half their conference, would they still be an AQ conference till 2014 (or whatever the date is) by contract?

So is the Big XII really going to mess with BYU's bullshit no play on Sunday crap to get them? Like, possibly not playing the basketball tourney final on a Sunday, or having baseball weekend series, among other possible things? Seems like a scheduling annoyance.

Apparently Bryce Brown quit the team at Kansas State and has been spotted on campus in Knoxville. WTF.
Bryce Brown didn't quit. Apparently he has a girlfriend there. We think he might be like Wally judge, where he is pussy whipped.

Bryce Brown also has so much potential and thinks it all should be handed to him instead of worked for, unlike his brother, Arthur Brown.

I saw this linked on a k-state forum i read

no clue if that blog is creditable or not

edit - yeah bryce seems like wally judge 2.0. thankfully his brother is the real deal and hubert is doing good

Bryce Brown also has a huge ego, and Bill Snyder was trying to right the ship. Snyder said earlier today that Bryce Brown has some issues he needs to deal with, and it's that if he doesn't work hard and practice hard like Arthur he isn't going to get any playing time. So much wasted potential

I don't understand how he would A) want to come back B) Dooley want him back (although we need an actual running back sooooooooooooo bad.)

The kid definitely has some problems but he was actually really well liked here before the random departure/ prolonged departure/ text Dooley bye.

He would come back to get the star treatment, that K-State hasn't given to him. He needed to earn his spot, he thought it would just be handed over like pie.

According to rumors at the time it was his dad (and undoubtably some agent). All accounts were he didn't really want to leave his hostess girlfriend that still lives here.

They wont, like I posted a few days ago. Go back and look at the shit he posted about tOSU and what he posted about bama back in the summer. ESPN/Yahoo never picked them up, because they know their is nothing behind them.

Sounds like they are.. football is not really an issue and the basketball tourney final has been on Saturday the last few years in the BIGXII anyways. Olympic sports is a different story so who knows.

B12 bracing for Mizzou to leave, considering a plan to add 4 schools: BYU, Boise, WVU and Ville. Many steps btwn here and there, of course
Wouldn't blame Mizzou one bit. Just wish we were better positioned to strengthen the conference/leave ourselves.

Pshhh Mizzou isn't going anywhere.. they just want to feel important.
I'm convinced they are. The Big 12 is set in stone as "Texas and the 8 dwarves," and will always be that way because we let them get out of control. You can't put this genie back in the bottle unless it wants to, and they've demonstrated that the LHN and their own selfish interests are their number one priority.

Not that I blame Texas for acting in their own best interest, but that's simply what happened.

If you're Mizzou, why wouldn't you want to go to a stable conference, make more money, and be treated as an equal rather than dealing with the Frankenstein of a conference that is the Big IX? If they have a chance to jump, they'll take it.

this is my point I don't think they do, I agree though if they get the call they should roll.
