Literally only a single point ahead. After Stanfird loses to Washingtin it won't matter.

I like your optimism. Couple that with Oregon@UW for the final game in old Husky Stadium and that would be for the rights to the conference title game. Yeah, let's not get ahead of ourselves

yeah total wtf.

go GT go! it'll be a showdown against clemson after we're 8-0 going into homecoming that night.

I am thinking about this too, but I HATE that I'm thinking this.

To many years both teams have lost games that should have walked through. Potential to be the ESPN GOTW if both teams win out till then though. Could be a top 10 matchup.

Providence Speaks Out on Conference Expansion:

http://www.projo.com/pc/content/20111002-big-east-basketball_10-02-11_1RQN4OQ_v2.7c2a5.html

Hopefully the conversations taking place today end up in a full on implosion. Fuck Providence Central.

The only reason the Big East is in this mess is because of the stupid moves by the b-ball members like:

1. Not admitting Penn State.
2. Forming a football conference for the sole purpose of protecting basketball.
3. Letting Miami, Va Tech, and BC go with a whimper.

Ah, so I don't have to dredge up the quote! Good man. ;)

You're lucky the mods don't follow this thread these days. Remember the dude who said that if Ole Miss didn't get six wins that season, he'd slam his dick in a door some number of times? Dude wound up with a tag lasting years.

yup, I hope this ends with no less then the bball only members having to fend for themselves or beg the A10 for admittance.

Guess Boise's dismantling of Nevada was super-impressive to the sports information directors.

As for OSU, we get jumped by Wisconsin in one poll (understandable) and by Wisconsin AND Boise in the other.

So Nebraska is 0-1 in B1G play. Utah and Colorado are 0-4 in the Pac. ATM is 0-1 against the SEC.

I feel like there's a lesson here, but I don't know what it is...

That Oklahoma State would surely win the first Pac-16 title if we were to join?

Your TAMU comeback win's losing its shine now that everyone's doing it.

If we can't beat OSU and go 1-1 in B10 play, we will all have a lesson to learn. I expected nothing less out of the other teams. Been picking against them the past 2 weeks.

I said it before the season began in the first thread, Texas A&M was super overrated. Almost as bad as Georgia...and Georgia is actually improving! I was saying how badly overrated Nebraska was, too, but that sorted itself out, now. :( I think we are top 15 team when we don't pass, number 25 or so when we do. :(

EDIT - not to mention that TCU has already lost twice this season...

Don't worry... Nebraska plays Ohio State next, I don't think it will be possible for them to lose. Kentucky could probably beat this Ohio State team.

the we suck trick and the "this loss is because we sucked as coaches" speech are 2 different things. not sure if you watched the game but our offensive play calling was near Kragthorpe levels of shittyness

So do we know if the new celebration rule has been used at all this year yet?
It was technically used against USC when they blocked the kick against Utah at the end of the game, but it was used against their bench for celebrating. The TD was put back on the board 2 hours later since it was a dead ball foul.

Holy shit. I figured we would have only jumped a couple spots. I can't wait until homecoming. GT vs Clemson is going to be one hell of a game.

EDIT: And unless we fuck up against Virginia Tech, we'll probably get a double showdown with Clemson this year.

Our running game is hardly dominant. We need that bit of passing to keep the safeties honest to open up the run some. Really we just need someone else throwing the damn ball. Martinez is terrible. I feel like he has actually regressed in the passing game since last year.

We are a poisoned pill. Once we knew we were going to lose we tanked the game. Nobody likes an asshole who runs up the score. Fuck Ya'll. B1G, B1G, B1G!
There is no flow in it.

I was pulling for Martinez being the starter last year if all 3 were truly neck and neck just so he'd get his first year starter lessons but it looks like he's only getting worse. It's poor coaching or him just not learning but he just struggles making any kind of decision passing or option. It's just frustrating knowing that the Huskers will not beat any opponent that gets a lead as Taylor just doesn't seem to improve at all. Didn't get depressed from the outcome of the game but because it happened just as I thought it would. Wilson looked legit and that o-line is huge. I feel 15 is still too high, upper teens to 20 makes more sense to me.

Ok, you made me go back and look at last week's rankings for no reason. You guys weren't #1, so what are you talking about?

We were tied with LSU for #2 last week in the SID poll. :p

Hey at least Bama has a chance to get things straightened out on the field. Whoever wins the game with LSU will at least be number 1 in the AP poll.

Also, my team is hella overrated. Doesn't make it less fun to be that high again, though. :3

If they take care of business (Northwestern and MSU), they could be top 5 in a couple weeks. Fraudulent as all hell, but who cares? lolol...

I don't disagree, and everyone on the fan board thinks so too.

Problem is GT had like 7 teams ahead of them lose this week. So we just slid up more on other teams losing. What else were pollsters gonna do.
