Either I made up lies about the Boston Bomber or I fell for someone else's crap. Either way, I have absolutely no credibility and you should never pay any attention to anything I say, no matter what the context. Perm me if I claim to be an insider

Oh, that's right! Maurice Clarett went to Ohio State University! How could I have forgotten that Maurice Clarett went to Ohio State University.

This Maurice Clarett that went to Ohio State University is the same Maurice Clarett (that went to Ohio State University) that was arrested after being pulled over with open bottles of alcohol and firearms in his vehicle, correct? Is this the Maurice Clarett that went to Ohio State University that you're referring to?

If I remember correctly, wasn't it after Maurice Clarett from Ohio State University ran a really fast combine 40 that everyone started believing in the fabled "Big 10 speed?"

Wow? I've been watching cfb for almost 30 years, can't say I've ever thought of Wake as anything but the tier above creampuff - Duke, Vanderbilt, Minnesota, etc.

Just saying.

I guess I just forgot how much they sucked. Though it seems like they had a decent team a few years ago.

You missed the joke.

Yes! It sounds like we are in fact talking about the same Maurice Clarett, the one who attended Ohio State University, the same Ohio State University, in fact, where Maurice Clarett played football for Ohio State University, home of Maurice Clarett.

I'm glad you cleared up that the two of you were talking about the Maurice Clarett who attended Ohio State University, the same Maurice Clarrett who played football for the Ohio State University, and not another person who was not the Maurice Clarett who played football at Ohio State University.

All ND national title. That's right. Get ready for it. Haters.

Well, there's precedent for it, with last year's MNC game. And I don't think they're playing each other, so there's that. But #10 ND will have something of a deficit to overcome, especially given they've already got a loss.

Bama v Gators National Championship Game is what I want to see.

good on Clemson, I was a little worried about this match for them seeing as WF were coming of an alright win and playing at home.

Damn that would take some crazy stuff to happen for a Bama vs Gator NC game and then everyone would complain about how unfair that is for two SEC teams to be potentially re-matched. Because of last year, I doubt it would happen again but I guess weirder stuff is possible. :p I'd just like to see some SEC team vs. Oregon and then see Oregon get crushed to shut up people like Cowherd :-D

Edit: Admittedly Auburn didn't crush Oregon in 2011, but that's Auburn :p

There you are. Make it to Norman?

Heh, wrong guy. Sooners come to me this year (Morgantown).

I think you need to look closer at numbers 5 and 10 before you think that the previous post wasn't a joke.

Bingo

Bama v Gators National Championship Game is what I want to see.

Those 2 are on track to play in the SEC championship game, so one will lose that game. It would be very unlikely, but not SECSECSEC impossible for them to rematch for the MNC.

Bama and Florida will play in the SEC championship if both run the table, so the likelihood of them having a rematch is extremely low and everybody else would have to have at least two losses.

Yeah, let's say Bama beats Mississippi State but then losses to LSU then beats a previously undefeated UF so both UF and Bama have 1 loss. ND loses to Oklahoma, KSU loses to Texas Tech, Oregon loses to Oregon State, Oregon State loses to Oregon in Pac-12 championship game... woot! All 1 loss teams = pandemonium = Bama vs UF for the National Championship game! :p

fixed for even more pandemonium. (Although, there can only be two one loss Pac 12 teams at most)

Well we learned from the best pessimist of them all, Munson. I actually read a Florida blog this week on why they hate Georgia, and they listed one of the reasons was that Munson was such a homer. That was true, he was unabashed in his love of the program like all the old broadcasters, but he also never thought we had a chance. I remember listening to many broadcasts where we were playing a team like Vanderbilt and from hearing him, you'd think we might as well stay in Athens. And he'd talk about how "the other guys" are driving down the field and "we just can't stop them" and if you were listening on the radio you'd be worried to death. Then he'd plead to the defense to "hunker it down one more time!" The reality was that a lot of the time we were up by several scores and the other team wasn't doing much of anything. LOLZ

I could have told you that. Don't worry, if Georgia wins, at least half of these Gata posers will go away. Not talking about pxleyes and a few others that are year round CFBGAF.

Basically I'm saying that for the sake of CFBGAF, you should all root for Georgia.

I had the pleasure of working with Larry Munson for several years in the late 90's. He was absolutely one of the most depressing guys you could hope to ever meet. He was like that about everything, not just the Georgia Bulldogs.

Hah. Anyway, if we didn't have a playoff system heading on the way, I would totally want a complete screw up in the standings to force it. Still if ND, K-State, UF/Bama, and Oregon/Oregon State are all undefeated then it will still be a clustef*ck. :p

ND vs. Georgia?

Not in that case. It'd be a nice rematch from around 30 years ago. :p

I met him one time at Sanford.. Seemed like a nice guy but I'm sure he was really like that. Seemed to have a bad family life.

I'm not terribly familiar with Munson's work. As long as he wasn't as bad as Hawk for the White Sox, I probably wouldn't mind a bit of homerism. But god damn if the White Sox don't have the worst booth in sports. And homerism is only a (large) part of the problem. He single-handedly sold me on MLB.tv premium, and the Braves only ever played them occasionally in interleague matchups.

It won't mean nearly as much if you didn't grow up hearing him every week for years, but his greatest calls are here.

This is my favorite call of his. The Lindsay Scott one is probably second best.

So I've heard that Fulmer is a name being tossed around for the UK job...that would be...interesting.

Also, I am anxious as all hell for the game tomorrow. GO CARDS!
