i'm finishing up my sophmore year.

Junior Year - Spring Semester

Service Operations Management
Consumer Behavior
Professional Selling
Managerial Accounting

I'm a marketing major. This should be a fun course load. I'm actually looking forward somewhat to Professional Selling and really looking forward to Consumer Behavior. Accounting is going to fucking blow though.

If anybody is wondering why I only take 4 courses a semester it's because I do 12 credits in the fall, 12 in the spring, and 6 over the summer to round out to 30 a year. I'm not in any rush to graduate, and the 12 credit load helps me do better in each subject.

This'll be my fourth semester

Macroeconomics
Political Ideology
Intro to Canadian Government
Values and Contemporary Issues

I might take a language, too. Most likely French, if anything, since I already know a great deal from high school.

I'm still stuck taking pretty general courses. The school I'm at doesn't offer any 300 level courses in the fields that I'm interested in. I'm transferring to university next fall, though, thank God.

Loki

Count of Concision
Microbiology lecture (still trying to get registered for the lab, but it's doubtful)

Organic chemistry 2 lecture/recitation/lab

English composition 2 (I can actually skip this required class since I got an "A" in comp. 1, but I need all the A's I can get at this point, and nothing else fit with my schedule)

Geology lecture/lab (school requirement)

Abnormal psychology 2 (I may change this to cognitive development)

Overall, not a difficult semester-- not as difficult as this semester at least. :D But I wanted to take it easy this spring because I'm also honoring research commitments as well as tutoring, and I'm the best man in my best friend's wedding in April, so that'll suck up some time as well. Next fall is a doozy, with biochemistry, physics 2, experimental psych, and medical ethics (philosophy course), and possibly a research elective.

PHL 140- Intro to Logic

Heh... I need to pick up a couple more classes, I think. I'm at 14 credit hrs right now.

EDIT: oh yeah, forgot to say, I'm a PoliSci/International Relations major with a minor in military science and another that I'm going to sign in Religion.

It's my 3B or 4A term depending on if you count the summer term that i fast tracked with.

Econometrics / intermediate statistics - econ 321
Intermediate macroeconomics 2 - econ 302
two "culture" courses that cover my required language credits

the fiifth one... ill wait and check out some course outlines in a few im interested in to see which will work best, and get an override form filled out by the prof to get in.

First tragedy, then farce.
In high school I burned all my electives by my sophmore year.. I gutted it out in college to save all by BS classes for my last semester.

PHL 366K EXISTENTIALISM
PHL 321K THEORY OF KNOWLEDGE-W
HIS 333L DIPLOMAT HIST OF US, 1775-1890
HIS 359P HISTORY OF EAST AFRICA
GRG 312 MAPS AND MAP INTERPRETATION
HIS 356N AMER CUL/SOCL LIFE SINCE 1945

The coolest thing is my existentialism class is being taught by Robert Solomon and my mind/body class (theory of knowledge) is being taught by SOSA. Any other philosophy majors out there should be jealous as hell.. SOSA

CSI1102 Fundamentals of Software Design 4
ELG1100 Introduction to Electrical and Computer Engineering 4
MAT1322 Calculus II 3
MAT1341 Introduction to Linear Algebra 3
PHY1104 Fundamentals of Physics for Engineers 3

Hey, don't laugh. Its only a one hour course and I want to get better and force myself to play on a regular basis.

you know that doesnt count for anything right? I took a Basketball course once (I could only play one time of morning, and they had the gym reserved during that time so I signed up :lol ) and later found out it counted for NOTHING. Not even elective.

LAST SEMESTER BEFORE GRADUATION!!!

You can tell by all the low numbers. :lol

ART 21 DRAWING IA

ECON 6 ECONOMIC PRINCIPLES: MACROECONOMICS

HIST 194 HISTORY RESEARCH SEMINAR

HIST 61 MODERN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA

PSCI 2 COMPARATIVE POLITICAL SYSTEMS

One of these is getting the axe, though. The only stone cold lock is the History Research Seminar. Can't graduate without that.

PSCI 2 is the front frontrunner for the drop, though. If I get rid of it, then I have 4 day weekends every single week and my earliest class starts at 1:15 pm for each of the 3 days I would have class.

Best. Schedule. Ever.

Fairly lenient right now. Calculus at 8:30am on monday, wednesday, friday is going to kill me.

I also have this cool thing on mondays, where I ride the bus from home for about an hour to Calculus at one campus, then ride the bus all the way to the other campus for Computer Science, then ride the bus back to the first campus for Philosophy tutorial. And on Wednesdays, I'm away from home from 6:30am until 7:00pm. Cool.

At my school those classes count as an hour of electives. This semester I took basic marksmanship. I had assumed from the description of the course it would be about gun safety. It ended up as just shooting daisy air rifles at targets and the only safety I learned was common sense stuff, like don't aim your gun at people. Oh well, at least I had the satisfaction of beating all of the ROTC people in score and my only experience of shooting anything comes from lightgun games.

Anyway, my schedule for next year is:

Financial Resources
Human Capital
Intermediate Spanish II
Honors Anthropology
Honers Physics

We have quarters, I have winter quarter coming up, then spring. I am taking psychology, socieology, and political science. I still don't have a major. I have done a year of chemistry, year of computer science, year and a half of math (past math 308 - matrix algerba), year of english. I am just bored with it all.

Stupid school lost all my information all of my registerd classes and my application for spring. So now i'm without classes and having to wait till thursday to re-register the classes i want. Lets just hope i get what i wanted. I'm trying to get accepted into the UC system for next fall. I kind of took a 3 year break, which has set me back. So i've got a lot of road work to make up for.

Now to find out what my major should be (rollseyes)

I admit defeat. You are the schedule master.

Though, to be fair, I will only have one class on Wednesday. And just look at the fluff on my list. :lol

Yeah, but he goes to Texas also.. I was letting him know that they dont count here. Also, never listen to any adviser at Texas. They lie. My dad was told in the 70's that his Greek credits he transfered would count as a foreign language and they didnt. They told me Basketball would count as well as an alternative German course I took.. None of them did.. so here I sit in my last year taking 18 hours :(

whats ur major Loki?

Psychology, but I'm pre-med, so I have to take all the pre-reqs; microbio, however, is just a supplemental course (not required for med school, though it looks nice), as is biochem, medical ethics, and physics in medicine (as well as genetics, which I'm enrolled in now), all of which I'm taking within the next year. :) How about you? Bio major, I assume?

woooo! I can almost reply to this thread. At the age of 23 I'm going back to school (ASU) to complete 3 (or 2 1/2, depending how applied I am) to get my degree. I just found out about this last Friday, so I haven't been able to register for classes, and yes I know I'll be getting shitty classes Spring semester.
