Combo Breaker & Stunfest | Fighting Game Tournaments | Rosemont,IL + France May 22-24

Everyone played like shit. There was this one guy who was carrying his whole team with a Shuma because he was a Shuma player.

Some Smash player who has no Marvel experience bought team "Blue" which had Vergil on it for a very high price and got bodied first round by constant snap backs.

Someone bought team swords for a very high price thinking he would get characters like Dante/Strider/Vergil but instead he got Trish/Taskmater/Arthur.

Kinderparty won because he was able to get Zero and Spencer on a team and he could already play Spencer. Second place was some guy with Wolverin/X23/Phoenix but he only knew how to play Wolverine so the other characters didn't do anything.

There was a Cap player who played really well though.

And Viscant was talking mad smack during the entire auction tournament.

There was that ghost rider tho

This commentary is lol.

It is only a problem if your Big Band isn't good. He has anti airs, a DP with invul frames, armored 75% rush punches and insane damage after a single taunt thanks to knockdown and duo teams.

I don't actually believe this is the case. Yes he has high damage but ...

His DP is either invincible and slow or fast and able to be stuffed at certain angles. It's painfully unreliable

He can't actually effectively open up a character, his pressure is super linear. After his low strings all anyone has to do is block high and you've avoided most everything that he could possibly do to open you up. He can't combo off of sweep and the only other option to open up someone is throw/command throw. Throw scales his damage hilariously and command throw only leads into super. If he tries to run-stop then you're at the advantage regardless of what he cancels from.

Parry is lol and everything else in the world will instant overhead him because he's massive. Being put in a position where you're forced to block with BigBand is inherently more dangerous than being forced to block with any other character because he's easier to open up compared to everyone else.

So he's a character with really strong assists that, frankly, needs assists himself to be effective. I'm inclined to think he's probably the worst character in the game.

Jesus christ, Sonya Blade just cut through him

GOOD SHIT, KEN. THE SALTY RUNBACK.

Wow at that Double DHC though. Catheads recovers so quickly you can still combo in to Car after Argus.

Good analysis and I only really disagree with this. He occupies the same space as Parasoul, Squigly and Peacock in the sense that they really shine when played in duo or trio team configurations. They really can't stand alone that well. Parasoul and Peacock really reach another level compared to BB when they are in a team, though.

However, you ain't ready for Big Band backed by Parasoul tear shot assist. Shit is brutal.
