So I just started my new job, touring the northeast US promoting Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. We're in Atlanta now, and by May we'll be up in New York, Philadelphia, and New Jersey...

So be on the lookout for us! Has anyone tried it? Also are there any suggestions on must see places in Tennessee?? That's the only place we're going that I'm worried about.

WTF I thought it was already national. Been out for 3 months down here. I even started a thread about it back in November. Anyhow it's a freaking rip off it tastes just like DP. I tasted no vanilla or cherry favoring what so ever.

I'm not a huge fan of Diet DP (b/c I don't really like regular DP), but I give it credit for being closest to the original, along w/ my Lord Master of All Sodas, Diet Mountain Dew. I will try this stuff though. Of course here in Manhattan I can't even get fucking Diet Mountain Dew Code Red (and Diet Mountain Dew itself always sells out super-fast), so there's a good chance I won't even see it.

Actually, Dr. Pepper is owned by Cadbury Schweppes, not PepsiCo. In certain markets of the country, DP is bottled by Pepsi or Coke, though they have to pay Cadbury Schweppes for the right to be able to bottle it. It's sad that I know this information.

But you're right. DCVDP is clearly the longest name in soda history. Even the acronym is long!

As much as I hate diet soda in general, if I was forced to drink it, I'd have to go with DP. Also, in case you really want it, it's only available nationally in the form of Diet. If you live in the heartland (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Arizona, New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri, Louisiana), it's available in regular and diet.

Sad, sure. But interesting to know nonetheless. I've wondered why for store/restaurant purposes sometimes Dr. Pepper has seemed like a Pepsi product and other times not.

I made like 75 dollars taste testing different versions of Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper. They had them cola colored, bright red, more vanilla, more cherry, etc.

All of them were pretty damn good. I'll definitely be a fan when it comes out.

No way. I'm type 1 diabetic and I rarely ever eat any carbs/sugar, the tons of flavors of diet sodas are basically the only sweet-tasting stuff I get besides sugar-free Jello, and the more flavors the better. It's not like they're planning on taking Dr. Pepper off the market or anything, so you don't have anything to worry about.

I have the same complain that I do about normal Diet Dr Pepper. It's missing the full bodiedness of the normal stuff.

All we got is the DR. Pepper Museum.. Which i have had a LOT of find at....

I had a friend that managed the museum, and at night, we would go there and have halo 16 players deathmatch tourneys at night there. it was a freaken blast..


Anyways, the Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper is freaken amazing, it's great, I havn't trieed the diet version, cuz, why? i'm not a fan of diet drinks..


But if you REALLY want to try a good drink, get ahold of some SUGAR CANE DR. PEPPER....

THAT IS THE BEST DRINK OF ALL TIME. GOD even said it's the best.
