AUG040002 PREVIEWS VOL XIV #10 PI
JUL040020 CONAN #8 $2.99
FEB042314 DEVIL MAY CRY #3 $3.95 (Actually came in last week)
JUN043704 BOME ONI MUSUME 2 FIG $13.99

Yeah yeah, I know, it doesn't seem like much: just a copy of Previews (which I get for free anyway), one comic, and one figure. BUT... I'm still waiting on that volume of GTO to arrive, and I've got a sneaking suspicion that at least one other Tokyopop manga is gonna show up early. Plus, X-Men Legends and Monster Hunter arrive in stores on Tuesday, and there's a good chance that at least one of those games will find its way into my PS2 by the end of the week. Depends on how busy I am, I guess... Add to that the cost of scheduled maintenance for my car, and the haircut I've been putting off for weeks now, and... wow.

Thank goodness I'm not shelling out the $$$ for that Star Wars Trilogy set, or I'd really be sunk. o_O

Oh, and everyone should pick up:

EX MACHINA #4
ASTONISHING X-MEN #5
MARVEL KNIGHTS 4 #10

This week's mantra: "Budget, budget, budget."

Skipping Sleeper hurts, but I'll get over it. My friend keeps buying them, so I'll still get my fix. As for K4, it's been pretty forgettable lately. It's still on my list, but we'll see how I'm feeling when I run to the shop.

Probably flip through the Flash as well.

FLASH #214 this ties in to identiy crisis.
HERO #20 this series is about to end and i kinda founf out about it too late. :(
TEEN TITANS #16
EX MACHINA #4

man.... nothing this week...

PREVIEWS VOL XIV #10
CONAN #8
UNCLE SCROOGE #334
WALT DISNEYS COMICS AND STORIES #649

Oh! And I got another letter published, this time in Donald Duck and Friends #320. Anyway, just a tip for those who are looking for something abit off the beaten path. I just finished reading Image's Tales of the Bully Pulpit Volume 1 (apparently/hopefully there will be a second volume) and it's great. It's about Theodore Roosevelt stealing a time machine from H.G. Wells and going into the future to get the aid of Thomas Edison's ghost. Yes, it's kind of out there. :p The art is great and the story is handled pretty well. It's kind of pricey at $6.95 for 64 pages, but if it's something that you think you'd be into, it's probably worth it.

The black man everyone at Activision can agree on
Hmm I thought all stores were charging for Previews now... <needs to check with new store>

BATGIRL #56 - Wargames continues! Yeah!
CATWOMAN #35 - Wargames continues... I think. That would be the only reason I'd pick up Catwoman.
ROBIN #130 - Wargam.... Can we just kill Tim's dad now and get it over with? That's not a spoiler, just conjecture...
ASTONISHING X-MEN #5 - Yeah the X-men kick the butt of a new baddie who is incredibly strong but they've never ever ever seen him before!
AVENGERS #502 - What if the Avengers got Disassembled... and no one cared?
EXCALIBUR #5 - My pick for X-book most likely to get axed soon.(Doesn't count X-book related books...) BTW can somebody explain why this past week Rogue had her powers back.... and was using them slightly different?
UNCANNY X-MEN #449 - Don't you wish Sage was really dead?
WEAPON X #28 - Sage may not be really dead... but this book is!

Decent haul:

Ex Machina #4
Sleeper Vol. 2 #4
Tom Strong #28
Walking Dead #11
Astonishing X-Men #5
Runaways #18
Ultimate Fantastic Four #11
PS238 #7

The only comic in the bunch that I'm incredibly psyched for is the wonderful PS238, but the rest should be perfectly solid reads.

Not reading Ex Machina = bad taste in comics :p

Unfortunately, there's no comic shop near me hear, so I can't pick up much of anything until I go back home.

I finally found a new comic shop that doesn't charge out the ass for variants. They sell them at cover price. Yay. Thank god for moving downtown.

Anyway, I'm getting:

Walking Dead #11 (Is it just me, or does this seem early?)
Ex Machina #4
ASTONISHING X-MEN #5
Runaways #18

Also going to try and get MK Spider-Man #5, which I missed.

Does anyone get Books of Magik: Life During Wartime? I'm really enjoying that one.

I have last weeks books to pick up, since I had absolutely zero money (seriously, I have 8 dollars in the bank, and nothing but dust in my wallet) after paying the other half of my student loan. I'm literally counting down the hours til thursday morning.

That's the leading speculation on who gets clipped in Identity Crisis #5, since it shows a figure in outline mourning over a corpse. Again, speculation, not quite a spoilar!

My list:

Ex Machina #4 (Tony Harris! Politics! Brian Vaughn!)
Manhunter #2 (I like Andreyko's work in Torso, and neat premise)
Sleeper: Season Two #4 (I'm just waiting for the big meet between Carver and Tao and Lynch)
Witchblade #79 (for the fiancee! Truly! I do want to see Frank Cho's cover for issue #80 in color tho)
Astonishing X-Men #5 (Not a Whedon fanboy, but I can see why people are. It's Colossus! Rock on!)
Avengers #502 (If the spoilers are true, some wack shit goes down here)
Black Widow #1 (Morgan writes good sci-fi, and the preview pages are DENSE. If Ellis and Morrison decompressed comics, Morgan is supercompressing them)
Ultimate Fantastic Four #11 (Ellis + Doc Doom = badassery)
