The Take Out Bandit said:Also didn't realize Weird War Tales got a one shot re-appearance! Of all the war comics my step brother had, Weird War Tales was always my favorite.
The Take Out Bandit said:Fortunately the art in Vampirella is better than that cover. Sorry kids, I've got no respect for a hack that leaves his creator owned book because he wants to make duh vidya games. Then they have the audacity to release that incomplete shit at a premium price?
How about no.
Better yet.
How about you finish that bullshit and consider that absurd price point the tax your gullible fans will pay for your Capcom homage/swipe wankfest?
Sorry, enough negativity. I hope Dynamite does better by Vampi than Harris and the last license holder did. Harris did an okay job in the 90's, but the last license holder was awful. The character has a history of amazing Spanish artists working on the book (check out the Vampirella archives Dynamite is reprinting), and the crap that got pooped out by that company was embarrassing. Granted not all of it was bad, unfortunately the bad far outweighed the good.
I'm not sure what the specifics are, but from the opening internal monologue I took it to be a case that he never got over for some reason or another.WascallyWabbit said:Ok, loved detective comics, but a quick question about the gordon backup:
Who the heck was that person with the big reveal at the end? Gordon's son???

It's not until it reflects on the iPad app or something similar in the future. I can't read comics, other than webcomics, on any monitor.
I guess it will be a sort of Batman-Prime like the Clark Kent in SI was loosely based on Prime... Btw his name will be Bruce Wainwright.Odious Tea said:Batman-Prime?

Mark Millar said:His talent is just on a different level from the rest of us and following in the footsteps of Alan Moore and Frank Miller as his collaborator is daunting to say the least. I wrote to him when I was in high school suggesting we team up on a Shazam project, sending him a five-page, hand-written outline in the hope that he'd like to follow 'Watchmen' by working with, er, me. I still have his letter and I still have the sketch he drew for me when I waited three hours in line for him to sign my 'Watchmen' trade paperback at the age of 17. As you can imagine, I couldn't be more thrilled that we're finally working together on this special project. It's literally a lifelong ambition and I want to make this as great as it possibly can be.
Dave Gibbons said:I have absolutely no memory of the young Mark Millar writing to me but I'm pleased I gave him a civil reply, since I've followed the boy's work from his earliest professional days with a growing admiration for his talents. Foolishly, I turned down his wonderful Elseworlds 'Red Son,' being busy on other stuff at the time, and ever since have looked for the opportunity to work with him, as much his fan as he ever was mine. I relentlessly bugged my local comic shop owner to tell me whenever a new copy of 'The Ultimates' was expected and have been grabbing all his recent Millarworld titles off the shelf the day they appear. I'm thrilled to be finally working with Mark and to be launching our project in such grand style.
I'm just pissed at the publisher for having limited availability as a selling point. I'm glad IDW decided to reprint even though they said it would never be reprinted. The Take Out Bandit said:Heh heh, I still haven't gotten around to opening my copy; so I can't confirm if it's another printing. Unfortunately IDW hasn't said squat about this reprint. Nothing on their site mentioning it. A pretty egregious lack of publicity if you ask me.
I don't know if it's speculators or if it was just significant demand for this collection. I've noticed a lot of hardcovers just go out of print and prices skyrocket. So you need to shop around. Online the Titans collections go for North of $100 last I checked. I managed to track down copies at retail and get them at a discount to boot.
Either way, get to it while the getting is good. :3
http://www.amazon.com/cant-believe-...ding=UTF8&s=books&asin=1600105378&store=booksThey've maybe picked up some more sales in the short term, but in the process of hurting those of us who foresaw the shortage of this book months before release and invested in some extras, they've lost future sales on any "limited editions" they solicit.

Edit: Ugh this kind of talk pisses me off.
