Are you fucking me? This was supposed to be compared to Amazing Spider-Man #700?
Well that's disappointing. And the world spins on.
Not being comparable to ASM #700 is a good thing. For one, unlike ASM #700, Batman #17 isn't fucking terrible. Wednesday we get in the ramifications. WHO'S GAME FOR AN INTERNET SLAPFIGHT I SURE AS HECK AM.
...Yeah. That's that I guess.
Anyways, I'll probably pick up UXM and SA on Wednesday, or at least peek through SA to see if I really want to bother with it.
And we're back to the status quo. Comics fuck yeah.
I feel bad for those who don't want to be spoiled...
Considering there's fucking nothing to spoil!

I feel like everyone's expectations were through the goddamn roof, to the point where you guys are losing sight of the fact that it's an extremely well executed thrill ride of an issue, which ultimately is the only thing that matters that I'm able to say because it's vague enough.
I want Gwen to come back. This may or may not be inflicted by spectacular Spider-Man

Anybody who read all the tie ins care to explain whyall the Batkids were so depressed at the end? What did Joker say/do to them in their books that made them all emo?
Honestly it was a good take on the Joker. It hit all the classic Joker notesand still managed to put a new twist on it.(It felt like a more mature TAS Joker)(Don't highlight the spoiler if you don't want to be spoiled. I was really vague but you can still gleam at what happened if you read it, so don't if you want to go into it fresh)It does look like there will be ramifications though. As far as everyone's relationships with Bruce goes anyway, his family may as well be dead. Even when Joker loses he still wins.
This is one of the few times I agree with you. After thinking about it, Snyder really did a good job.
have a decision to make. I can either get:
Batman: court of Owls
Spawn Origins HC vol. 2
Punisher Max vol. 1
Venom
Berserk Vol. 1
Astonishing X-Men Ultimate Collection Book 1
or a combination of 2 of the following:
Preacher vol. 1
100 bullets
Prophet
Phonogram vol. 2
Uncanny Xforce vol. 2: Deathlok nation
Berserk vol. 1
Spiderman: Kravens Last Hunt
I don't know what to choose!
When the comparison to ASM700 was made, I expected.something big. Cheapest way to "kill" the family ever

is that all of 100 bullets? if so go for the latter.
nope just vol. 1
I can only spend up to 22 bucks.
It definitely wasn't as bad as people keep making out. It just avoided a ridiculous conclusion, and everyone wanted something big. It was actually really, really obvious in a Hitchcockian way. Hitchcock was a master at taking a story and making you look everywhere BUT the most obvious conclusion, which usually was the conclusion he picked. Everything Joker did at the end was a distraction from the real point, and most people wanted something big and crazy and shocking to be that point. And it wasn't.
Anyways, more importantly...
Scarlet Spider #14 this week!
Should be a good issue. Last one left off real crazy.Anyways, more importantly...

That era's boner for faux-handwriting fonts is inexplicable.
How's vol.1 anyway?
Ok gonna order UXF and Phonogram vol. 2. Decided to order one more though. Spidey: kravens last hunt or 100 bullets vol. 1?
Yep, it really is. And the new edition is totally worth it, as Batgirl: Year One has been out of print for a while and used copies are ridiculously expensive. That Batgirl/Robin Year One is tempting, although the Robin book has fucking awful lettering for its captions. That era's boner for faux-handwriting fonts is inexplicable.
I think I've said it before but Batgirl: Year One is literally the only time Barbara is worth reading as Batgirl.
