It was the only comic that sold out at my LCS that week and they had a decent sized order. I just did not get why. I have this ordered trough issue 3 so I will keep going

Finished up the rest of the Amazing Screw-On Head book. Very, very good, one of the best short story collections I've read from Mignola (and I guess ever within comics?). Really great funny stuff. There is one story that's quite sombre in comparison to the others, but then elements and symbols from that story recur throughout the others in some subtle ways which is quite interesting and ties the book together in a cool way. Objects and symbols from that story also turn up in Hellboy In Hell too so gives me something to think about next time I read through that. Very nice book too in general, HC, nice title cards for the stories and bits of art in the breaks, and a nice sketch/commentary section at the back. Highly recommended.

Pre-ordered mine from Webhallen here in Sweden but last year they only got enough in while the NES was in production for like 40% of the people who pre-ordered. At least when there was a PS4 shortage at launch(Sweden is a big PlayStation country) you knew you would get one in one of the next shipments over the next few weeks or months.

I got mine from Amazon. Really hope it arrives, since this time its not just a nice to have gadget, I am seriously interested in playing Super Metroid and Castlevania IV

I'm finally getting around to reading Simonson's Thor that I got for like $3 from Amazon.

It's some real good classic comics. It's insane to me how much happens in an issue. And I love the classic A-B-C plot division keeping things moving.

Also, for all the man-babies that complained about "Thor" being a name and not a title, Odin definitely calls him Beta Ray Thor at one point.

Not meaning the look. I mean that he's now headlining a comic at all. Feel like there's been talks forever about wanting to bring it back and him suddenly being part of a team book would seem like the Marvel machine kicking into gear.

Edit: But it was sarcasm and entirely the most cynic possible look at it.

He was supposed to have an solo at the beginning of ANAD, but that got fucked when Seeley didn't want the racial heat and went DC exclusive.

There was a interview a couple of days ago and while Feige sounded interested, it was more a "it would be cool, but dont hold you butts" interview. Also, there wont be any new movie announced until Avengers 4 in 2020.
Maybe they just want the character back, not everything is because they make movies.
No biggy, just saying :D

Wait, anyone know when the Hickman Avengers omnibus is supposed to actually come out? I had today (mentally) marked as the date it was supposed to pop up on IST, but it's not there in the new releases...

Scott, Bug, Lightray, and some other unidentifiable New Gods are on Apokolips fighting parademons. Parademons horde Scott and pull him off his aero discs. He gets back on to rejoin the battle. There's a huge clash below him. He flies down to investigate. He pulls a sword from a dead parademon and stabs an off panel aggressor.

Just read Sinestro Vol. 1 by Cullen Bunn and man that was EXCELLENT. I had fairly high hopes and ended up even happier about it than expected.

Well, Wonder Woman/Tasmanian Devil was enjoyable enough, with the interactions between Diana and Taz being sweet. That shorter story at the end with the more looney tunes style was fun too.

Hope Batman/Elmer Fudd turns out great tomorrow. Will probably check it out before going on my trip for the rest of the week.

Dropped Superman (finally), Super-Sons, and Batwoman. I'm on a roll! All perfectly good comics, especially the first two. But some stuff's gotta get dropped. And I just don't seem to be a main line DC person. The Wild Storm is the only DC book left on my list.

The only thing I liked about The Defenders #1 was Jessica Jones. Maybe I'll check out the first run of Alias when it goes on sale again. Is it recommended to read the first run before the current run?

The second half of the Spider-Man/Spider Gwen Sitting in a Tree trade was as bland as the first half. Like when you have chewed a stick of wrigley for a bit and want to stop but you have to keep chewing because you can't find a trash bin. Even the art was weird. I think the panel size/layout was decided using a random number generator.

Infinite Crisis - this brings back the Multiverse. Superboy Prime, Superman and Lois of Earth 2, and Alexander Luthor of Earth 3 survived the original Crisis and lived alone in a pocket dimension. Superboy Prime manipulates them to help him restore the Multiverse by promising to bring their worlds back. Superboy Prime is evil, gets thrown in the Speed Force, and ultimately is held in a red sun prison by the GOV.

Final Crisis - the Fourth World falls and the Fifth World rises. Darkseid and his cohorts posses human hosts, Darkseid finally gets control over the Anti-Life Equation and takes over the world, corrupting many of Sarah's heroes in the process. Barry Allen comes back form beyond the grave and he and Wally trick the Black Racer (the New Gods embodiment of Death) into attacking Darkseid right as Batman shoots him with a radium bullet. Batman gets blasted by the Omega Sanction and gets sent back in time. Meanwhile the Supermen of the Multiverse team up and take down an evil Monitor and then Superman builds a wishing machine and wishes for a happy ending.

Convergence - dunno, don't care.

Darkseid War - The Anti-Monitor and Darkseid throw down, Darkseid dies, various League members become New Gods. After teaming up with the Crime Syndicate, the League is betrayed by them. Jessica Cruz appears to die but doesn't and becomes a Green Lantern. Darkseid is reborn and is a baby, Lex Luthor is the new Lord of Apokolips. Owlman and Grid steal Metron's chair to gain omniscience before being killed by Doc Manhattan thus ushering in Rebirth.

Thanks for writing all that up. The wish machine sounds pretty dumb. I still feel like I don't know much about the multiverses or great powers of the DC cosmos like I understand in Marvel.
