And of course Kipp wants a dollar limit

It's actually way easier for me to spend my money on other people than spending it on myself. If there wasn't a limit, I'd be too tempted to just hit the free shipping threshold on IST. Haha

I think now is the time, though. We have an end, we know it was amazing, and a studio can wrap their head around how to approach the show. 6 seasons at 8+ episodes a year then close the book on it. Could be huge for a Premium network willing to take the risk.

I can't really get into The Invisibles. His story of being non conformist, anarchy, and magic isn't pulling me in. Maybe there's more, but I haven't gotten too far into it yet.

I checked out the first few issues of it a while back and I was totally sucked in. It really clicked with me. I still haven't gotten around to buying the omnibus or TPBs though. Perhaps when the deluxe editions are all out I'll grab those.

If you're having a hard time reading Invisibles, I suggest checking the book out digitally. It really helps to break down each page and keeps your mind centered on what is going on, versus getting distracted by the page next to it.

Having one if those days where I just can't bring myself to read anything. Doesn't help that I brought Batman and Son with me to work thinking it was a different book. Lol.

I love Damien. He is the best non female Robin.

such a low bar, though

unless you count Batgirls as female Robins
in which case i still like batgirl better
and by batgirl i mean cassandra cain
and by cassandra cain i mean cassandra cain

In anticipation of the upcoming Dragon Age game, I want to check out the Dragon Age comics. I see there is a hardcover that has everything they've done so far. Has anyone read it? Is it any good
for licensed material
?

Come on. Damian is easily better than Carrie Kelly, the only female Robin, ever.

Goodness. Just finished the first arc of Hellblazer. It really starts off with a bang. Doesn't hold anything back for that first arc. That was really, really good.

I would also like to know this. I can't believe I'm getting suckered into buying another Bioware game, but I would really like a relatively old-school RPG right now, even with Quality Bioware Writing™.

The only RPG worth buying this month is Persona Q
I've never played a Dragon Age game

So what is everyone reading this weekend? I'm gonna try and read some more Stray Bullets today.

You don't play JRPGs, you endure them.

Why is nobody making a Pathfinder game? Why is Neverwinter still shuffling along when we could be getting the tactical 4E RPG we deserve? At least Divinity OS was good.

Finished off the first BPRD Omnibus last night, wrapping up what I own of the Hellboy stuff. One more note on Hellboy that I didn't put in my last post on the matter because I wrote it in a rush:
It really did feel like a bit of a shame that we didn't get to really see Nimue or her army actually do much after all the build up. Doesn't mean the ending wasn't still a ton of fun, but it was still a bit disappointing to have Hellboy essentially cheat code his way to the final fight by giving up an eye, at which point the big bad immediately got taken over by a bigger bad.
(Spoilers for the last Hellboy Library Edition).

Also, BPRD felt like a bit of a mixed bag. I definitely enjoyed it overall, and the big stories from Mignola were a strong enough enough highlight that it was still great, but a few of the backup stories were kind of meh. The
one with the witches and the mud and the strawman preacher yelling about how everyone is going to hell and whatnot
in particular just felt... off.

Just finished the third issue of Hellblazer, a one-and-done story. That was too good. Insanely clever and pretty hilarious.
The wordiness isn't a problem at all either. I'm enjoying this so much. I'm pretty sure Hellblazer is one of my new favorite series. This is just hitting all the right buttons for me. It's even better than I'd hoped it would be.
I wouldn't be surprised if I blew through this whole TPB today.
I'm so glad I bought the first three volumes. I've got a lot of great reading ahead of me.

Kipp would trade wait it tho

Well, my first choice would be to digital-code-beg it obviously, but unfortunately DC doesn't do the digital code thing, so I'd be forced to give the creators a tiny bit of cash...

AND POKEMON!

I'm going to try and catch up on my Morning Glories trades. Single issues suck, but reading the series in a collected form is a new kind of drug. Still need to wrap up some of the issues from the past two weeks. Gaming has definitely been sucking up a ton of my week so far :P
I love Carrie and Damien. The others Meh.

Wait, no Stephanie Brown? Messi, pls.

Wait, whats happened to John Stewart?

All versions of Stephanie Brown are terrible people. Look into your heart and you will know it to be true.

I am seriously enjoying Hellblazer so much.
The one-and-done issues have been really great. The writing is dense enough that Delano can still tell a complex story that pulls you in, but it's still short enough to keep things fresh and exciting.

I think he was wondering why Fables would make a good tv show or comic for that matter.

Once Upon a Time gave us an Anna and Elsa that it's okay to fap to.

Grant Morrison is very hit-or-miss for a lot of people, myself included. Some of his stuff just doesn't resonate with me at all and I can't get into it. Other things are fantastic and I can't stop reading. If you don't like it, don't feel bad (just feel bad that you spent a pile of money on it XD)

You sir.... are a terrible person. Dragon Age is going to be my time-sink this week. And probably the cause of a sick day or two.

Persona, Pokemon, and Dragon Age. November is an awesome month. I think this week is the Saga OHC as well.

Next Friday, I'm picking up Omega Ruby, the Smash U Gamecube Adapter bundle, and a Samus Amiibo from the GameStop a block away.

Oh, this is a comics thread, so uh, Sex Criminals. That was pretty great. The "Fat Bottomed Girls" scene sticks out in my mind in particular.

Just a FYI, the Jeff Lemire/Dodsen Teen Titans OGN is out this Wednesday.

Looking forward this, love the idea of original New Teen Titans (Cyborg, Starfire, Raven, etc.) in a world without superheroes (ergo without Robin, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, etc.)
