Alright, I don't know what the hell just happened and I'm not all too knowledgeable with computer errors since I rarely encounter them.

Basically, my laptop starts making some whining noise, I try to save my stuff and close out, everything locks up and a fun blue screen comes up telling me there's some "KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR." What is that involved with? I've restarted and everything seems normal...

I don't really know if this is just going to be a random one-off deal or if it's something I should be concerned with. It's an Dell Inspiron 8200, and while nearly 2.5 years old now, it's been pretty damned good to me, and I don't think I've ever had a crash like this before.

Weird, I've been getting that error off and on for a week or so. No noises or anything, my computer just crashes and is fine on reboot. Everywhere I've checked says it's probably either a memory problem or some hardware is loose. It's not either for me, but may be for you. Who knows.

Any update? My computer was fine all day (I've been working on it for the past 8 or so hours) until it crashed just a minute ago.

Everything checked out, and I haven't had a problem or heard that whining again. So I don't know what caused it, but as long as it doesn't happen again, I guess I can rest easy. Hopefully it doesn't return.
