My computer's keyboard seems to be messed up. Its a multimedia keyboard. I uninstalled the drivers so it acts like a normal keyboard.

However, whenever I press the right shift key, the keyboard changes region. the keys go from american to european layout, and none of the keys correspond to the american layout.

even worse, when i press the left shift button, my computer shuts down.

do i have a virus or is this something that can be fixed more easily

I came in here to tell that
"pressing shift in conjunction with 1 will make an exclamation point !"
but I see that button won't be helping you at all :lol

sorry dude no clue

All I can think of now is checking the obvious stuff:
Control Panel > Regional Settings > Languages Tab > Details ...there is a place where you can change some settings with the Shift key and stuff

just checked it breifly, there could be some stuff there of interest if you haven't already checked that part out.

Do you know anyway to check other keyboard shortcuts? My comp shuts down after pressing the left shift, and after tapping right shift a few times, i get this sign:€€€€€ :(
