Concept art

Katsuya Terada is in my top 10 favorite artist list. It's a shame his style didn't become as popular as some of his peers of that generation.

Always loved Kazuma Kaneko's concept art for SMT and early Persona titles. Like Shinkiro, his style is instantly recognisable. While he no longer works with Atlus, his demon designs have survived through to this day.

I'm also a big fan of Grasshopper Manufacture's whole aesthetic. Here's a video on Nomaru, one of their concept artists, hosting an exhibition in Tokyo. I wish more game concept artists would do events like this.

Posting to remember to comeback.
Ive got a whole swath of artbooks ive collected over the years.
I just need to get back from work so I can select my favoriutes.

But I already know Bayonetta is gonna be one of them......the artbook looks like a Fashion University Studios final portfolio, they fact they managed to translate the mannequin artstyle into 3D without it looking weird still astounds me.

Fighting games also always have really good concept art when it comes to character designs.

Octopath Travellers artwork was also sublime.
