i think between these shots of KZ, Lego the movie, MGSV and Infamous, the PS4 is well beyond my expectations in terms of IQ.
Now, i just need a new 1080p tv (still playing on a 720p set)

My CE is in Ontario, California, so it should arrive today, but if it doesn't, I'm going to have some strong words for Amazon. I have a long day of work ahead of me, and I had my entire weekend planned about unwinding and decompressing with some Second Son.

Now the question is:

I have a 40" 720p Samsung that is our main television (I'll upgrade later this year probably), and a 24" 1080p Samsung that doubles as our computer screen. Do I want to hook the PS4 up to the 24" set for that full 1080p experience, or do I want to just keep it on the 720p set and experience the game on the big screen? So far, PS4 titles have been looking fantastic on the 40", despite only being 720p, and in my excitement, do I really want to waste time unhooking the PS4 and hooking it up to the other TV?

I think Imfamous looks nice but it looks like it has some sort of blur filter applied to it. Like there's a lack of detail in textures compared to the screenshots I saw earlier.
Perhaps these are heavily heavily compressed images, though I still don't understand people raving about the IQ. Are you raving about the IQ from playing it first hand or from screenshots?

A new, very pretty game just came out. This is always what happens in this thread, get used to it.

Anyways, all these Infamous screens are making it hard for me to resist buying a PS4. I didn't like the past Infamous games, so I imagine I wouldn't like this one, but damn if it isn't gorgeous.

1080p or nothing. 40" 720p? Makes me sick just imagining it. (though it depends how far away you're sitting)

Yeah, previous infamous were already kinda empty for sandbox games. But this one looks even more "boring".

I think there's a day one patch to make the world more vivid. Are those screens with the day one patch?

Sit back on your couch and enjoy the bigger picture of the 40" screen. While getting some extra AA in the form of supersampling.

This is the one thing sticking out for me, too. The city just looks so... dead in all these screenshots. I think the patch is supposed to help fix this though.

Nah, games look amazing on my set. We sit somewhere between 6-8 feet from the screen.

EDIT: Also, my CE is out for delivery, so It'll definitely be waiting for me when I get home from work. Unfortunately, I won't be home until 9:30pm...

There's a fair amount of pedestrians in InFamous during the daytime but they scatter when the fighting starts (which FYI, is the whole game). It's definitely not a lifeless world.
