There were like 6 seasons planned or so IIRC, but I guess ratings got in the way
At least we got an ending.
What a shame. The series is far from an all-time classic or must-see or however you want to call it, but it's not that bad. Still, it's surprising to me how this thread is just six pages long. Six pages for the whole four season series. That's just insane. I remember at least one Game of Thrones episode causing sixty pages of discussion. And that was just one of the two GoT threads.
Anyway, I just finished S04E04. Gonna watch the last two on the weekend. I haven't yet decided what to watch afterwards, but the candidates are Mr. Robot, Hannibal and Rome.
Regarding your comments on S4,yeah, some characters did a few steps back in development in order to have some closure fit in those 6 eps (it's especially obvious with Kiera, who had actually seen her timeline collapse and had made peace with the fact her future didn't exist anymore). Your questions are pondered in the show itself though, and actually answered.
And I think it's fair of Alec to question that, since him becoming a tech corporate genius asshole did happen in 2 different timelines at least (and he saw one happen).
EDIT:
Maybe,or well, TimeJesus anyway, his backstory was clearly aborted due to shortened season/series length
Yeah, she totally accepted to never be able to return to the future again, which is why her sudden change of stance seemed so weird to me. However, I'm still hoping that chooses to stay with Carlos and Alec, and maybe even Brad. Probably won't happen, though.
