I'm pretty sure we will finally leave the Oldest House to explore the world(s) in the sequel. Otherwise it would just be a copy of the first one.Someone made a good point. The sequel should not take place in The World Tree like the first game. Hopefully we get to see Jesse actually visit the other dimensions instead of just reading about it in cases.
Control 2 will be the best-looking game of this gen!!
I loved control and it's dlc. Played Alan wake remastered and it was decent. Is AW2 actual better?Control was incredible and Alan Wake 2 is a masterpiece. I can't wait to see the crazy stuff Sam Lake is planning for Control 2. Remedy Connected Universe is!
AW2 is a bit slower, plays more like a survival horror game and puts a stronger emphasis on story. though I feel like they share a similar level design structure (Car instead of Control Points to Travel, Big Levels with multiple paths to choose, Tools instead of Powers to unlock new areas and stuff)I loved control and it's dlc. Played Alan wake remastered and it was decent. Is AW2 actual better?
Hmm, not seen many UE5 games which would look as good as Northlight. If anything i'm disappointed with UE5 so far. Most times i can't even tell if it's UE4 or 5.Northlight is the only engine yet shown that rivals Unreal.
Opinions and all but, pump the brakes. Masterpiece? In my best Casey voice: No chance.Control was incredible and Alan Wake 2 is a masterpiece. I can't wait to see the crazy stuff Sam Lake is planning for Control 2. Remedy Connected Universe is!
I'm glad I played it, but, in the end, I did not enjoy much of my time with Alan Wake 2. I see no reason to replay it. Control is superior and I have problems with that game too. Remedy took a big shot with AW2, but I think they really whiffed it.I loved control and it's dlc. Played Alan wake remastered and it was decent. Is AW2 actual better?
That's like asking if Super Mario Odyssey is better than Tears of the Kingdom. Different games. Is AW2 actual better?
Yeah, not enough scripted qte infested setpieces and pander to the cuckoos in this one.
Still got the first one for free on Epic yet to play

But you enjoy shitty woke writing with a combat\stealth system that was stole from arkham series, dogshit pandering sidecontent with pussy peter and token morales saviour of the day?Talk about getting defensive
Good thing I don't enjoy boring games where you play as a red haired Karen in some incredibly dull environments with storytelling that's extremely poor and uninteresting with some horrendously shite third person shooting mechanics

Good for you![]()
oh dats crazy.
I assumed they just did nothing, like 100% the whole team, janitor and everything just worked on Alan Wake 2, like you can't even THINK about Control 2, or they'll fire you, cancel you socially, call da police on you /s
So you post a bored gif and you don't want to be challenged on your opinion? If you are so bored why do you even enter a control 2 topic? This is about Control. Bringing up other games just shows how insecure you are gym wolf.
Stay on topic.
This is not good news because Control is the absolute worst of their games. How anyone can get remotely interested in such a bland and uninspired IP is beyond me

When i do a snarky comment on a game that i don't like i'm ready for people calling me out.
Do you know we are in a forum right?
I'm more in-topic than you entering a control 2 topic to ask why people are excited for the game, what kind of stupid question is that?
Even if i don't like death stranding i don't ask people why they liked that pretentious turd![]()
I edited my post, so you can read what people liked in control (or at least what i liked)You're not challenging my opinion, you're throwing shade at a completely unrelated game because you don't like my opinion
Should this topic be a safe space for only people who really enjoy control? There's a lot of people who didn't and we are disappointed in this news

I can understand the critique on story and charas, i didn't loved em neither, i liked the setting tho, we don't have many linear games on a single "magic" location that change and shit, it was neat.Who knows, I really did not like the characters, story, or setting.
The mechanics were ok and the level design was light metroidvania, but nowhere near as compelling.
I'll reserve judgment till I see it but the sequel has a ton of areas to improve upon

What compelled me to play was the fun combat with powers, the technical aspect (destruction mostly), and the metroidvania structure.
The weapon choice was small but they all felt different and they were fun to use, and the shooting was meaty, i don't know how can anyone say otherwise.
And the game controlled like a dream, it was just a fun game to play.
Yeah it was nothing special or new, it just flow well.Ok I take back my comment about shite combat. In retrospect it was fine, though didn't blow me away.
I guess I would have preferred Remedy to make a new IP with similar core mechanics
But they showed with AW2 they can really improve upon the original, so I'll keep an open mind
Yeah it was nothing special or new, it just flow well.
And i'm an absolute sucker for telekinesis powers in videogames so control just hit the right spot, you never get bored of throwing shit to enemies.
Control 2 was announced by Remedy Entertainment on November 11, 2022. It will be co-developed and co-published by Remedy and 505 Games, with Mikael Kasurinen returning as director for the Control franchise, and will continue to use the Northlight game engine.[1][2]
