The Boy Meets World follow-up series Girl Meets World has cast the final member of the Matthews family.

TVLine reports that young actor Teo Halm has been nabbed to play the role of "Elliot Matthews," Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga Matthews' (Danielle Fishel) eldest child.

Halm has worked primarily in commercials and is also filming the upcoming James Franco-directed biopic on the late German writer Charles Bukowski, in which he plays a young Frank Sullivan.

The series, which picks up with the Matthews now full-grown adults and the parents of two children, follows the couple's young daughter "Riley" and the life lessons that she learns. The titular character of Riley was filled in late January by Spy Kids: All the Time in the World actress Rowan Blanchard.

Fishel, whose most notable acting work was her seven-season stint on Boy Meets World, reacted to the exciting casting news on Twitter.

"If having real life children is as hard as finding these two beauties (@rowblanchard & @teohalm) then I think I'm happy with being a TV mom," she posted. "... We worked so hard to find the perfect kids. We found them. I love them already. Get ready."

Production on Girl Meets World is set to commence later this month. The show is expected to premiere on the Disney Channel in late 2013.

Kind of would have preferred they casted someone that closely mirrored Cory.

So if the show appears on Disney Channel it is probably going to be episodic bullshit. That sucks

I'm not expecting Cory and Topanga to have much screen time at all, probably about as much as Corys parents had in the original. The show will probably center around their daughter the way BMW centered around Cory.

I think a lot of us that saw the original show as kids might be setting ourselves up for disappointment in that regard.

Has anybody actually watched BMW recently? I loved it as a kid, but I saw some reruns a few months back and was pretty appalled. Show really doesn't hold up IMO -- unlike the show with the superior Savage.
