People are dumb universally, but I am not, so that's that. We pronounce words consist of characters which in 99% sounds like you would spell them, so yeah. That's not only language, but also logic. And yeah well "chvrches" is dyslexia...because it's written CHRVRCHES and not chvrches and I read/write words as if their were pictures.

This is purely a guess, but I suspect it was done for two reasons - one is a nod to classical Latin orthography where "V" typically represented the "U" sound and the other is that by employing an atypical spelling like that they both make the band easier to search for than using a dictionary word and make it easier to register the name as a trademark.

Getting perhaps back on topic, looking through Barlog's Twitter feed, it seems every other post is about the evilness of Donald Trump, or some smiling soyboy retweet. Probably expect the next historical game to be about the evilness of white people. Is there any serious writer in the gaming industry exploring their soul deeper, or is it all just shallow trash? How can anyone be excited for this man's work? If he's getting paid millions to write for a videogame, can we really expect literature quality story, or just more tropes and easter eggs (the true sign of an accomplished videogame writer)?

Edit: Yes, I know I've added fuck all to the industry, but just wondering, not being a troll? Personally I think walking sims are heading in the right direction, but they are all too focused on fantasy horror right now.

That Chvrches song is trash, they probably do it just because they have to, because Kojima insisted. Because in comparison to the "Warning Call" their DS song si like like Death Stranding itself, repetive, bland and fucking boring. Warning call is fucking masterpiece in comparsion to that.

I shit on Kojima and the likes every time I can, like every other reasonable person. But there is a place for experiential (TLOU, Death Stranding, Mass Effect, GOW) games as much as for gameplay-first (RE2, DMC5, Nier, Soulsborne) games. You limit yourself by a certain niche, but in my eyes, that's a loss.
