It's not a Bayformer, it's the updated G1-inspired design from Bumblebee that will be used going forward, just repainted into Nemesis Prime.
This is as close as you'll get to the original G1 design in a modern live-action film.
As for the question in the OP, I have the original issue in the movie colors and it very well might be one of the best ever made.

It's definitely more affordable since the ThreeZero one has shot up in price, but the quality is nothing like what you see in those shots. It's about on par with what you'd get from a $59 Hasbro figure.
