Crackdown 2 possible, says Realtime

I liked Crackdown, but it was far from a great game.

The action parts were horrible and messy and I didn't really care for the driving that much either. The only thing the game had that I thought did set it apart from being a typical GTA-clone was the level-system and jumping around on the roof tops. And the graphics are pretty nice too.

I mean, it definitely had potential and all, but it just didn't click with me. I've never played it again after the first play through. It got so repetitive after two islands.

A Crackdown 2 could be pretty cool, though.

Hey, I'm hoping they'll fix those things if there's a Crackdown 2! Then the game might really shape up to something great.

EDIT: One thing though; I never played co-op. Wasn't that kind of a big deal in Crackdown?

well, I'll admit I was one of those "bought it for the Halo 3 beta then never touched it again" guys. I picked up a used copy today though and have enjoyed the first hour or so. Oddly enough, the clerk at GS said mine was the fourth copy he had sold today. :D

Crackdown is one of the most fun games I've ever played (and I've played a lot of games). I really hope that sometime in the future they eventually get to working on--and releasing--a sequel to such a fantastic title.

I just picked up Crackdown for $15, and it's amazing. Could someone please tell me more about this DLC for it?

Best official DLC for any console game anywhere, and 1\2 of its free.

Four Player co-op for Crackdown 2 please. Also make the aiming system better and guns have a purpose (other than rocket launchers).

Fuck they hope the do it. I loved the first one but there really is a whole shit load they could build on to make an amazing sequel.

Booyah! Sounds like it would be a ways off no matter what, but I hope hope hope this happens.

I'm really interested in how APB will turn out in the meantime, seems like it could be good fun.

Every now and then, I imagine an epic battle with an enemy super agent atop the skyscrapers in Shai-Gen. We're fighting at sunset, and hurling objects at each other - pipes, air conditioners, innocent sun bathers - while dodging rockets and leaping from building to building.

I imagine this while fapping.
How romantic Ghaleon, I'll fap to it too.

There aren't many recent franchises that I feel strongly about wanting a sequel for, but this is definitely one of them. Crackdown was badass -- give us more!

i'd give a sequel a shot but it needs a lot more content and variety than the original had. imho the first section of the original was the only good one. after that it was more repetitive than assassin's creed. the enemies need more personality, especially the bosses. how about fighting another super powered rogue agent or something? the potential is pretty big for the franchise.

game was incredible.. a REAL sandbox game. It was just a blast to play coop with a friend over live and just mess around with the city. unfortunately the story was pretty repetitive, but the fan factor in the game more then made up for it (which can't be said about gtaiv)

I still remember the hate the game got for its visual style before it came out though, I always had some hope it would turn out decently... and then the demo.

wow, completely won me over. Screens did not do this game any justice at all, it was absolutely beautiful playing it (the physics was great). the game really did benefit from a demo as i'm sure half the people wouldn't have picked it up without getting addicted to the hour long demo. I know thats the main reason I picked it up!
