The way he is always wearing that jacket, reminds me of when I was in elementary school when I would never take off this black jacket I had....even had my school year picture taken in it. Cuz I was a dumb kid who thought it was cool to always wear it...wonder what his excuse is.

Switch 2 is a beast.

Switch 2 at the moment is passable, slightly above ROG Ally X most likely for the fact that games will be built to the metal on it and has DLSS which for equivalent picture quality PC handhelds have to remain effectively native or near.

As pretty much as most you can squeeze out of current LPDDR5x unless you go with massive caches

Phantom liberty which is a bit more difficult to run than what last gen could handle.

It's a day 1 release and no I don't think it's the max switch 2 can do, the game does not use mesh shaders for one which are the most effective in CPU cycles and limiting system bandwidth for geometry calls on lower end hardware, such as Alan wake 2 getting the biggest gains in frame times on series S over all other hardware.

A lot of it

CPU limited games on consoles will be the hardest ones to port.

I think it'll do RTGI ala Star Wars outlaws and other fews using it just fine. Same for nanite, lumen, easily KCD 2, etc. GTA6? Naw, CPU on that should be heavy.

Some wins some losses, some impossible ports.

A Sony handheld released in 2-3 years of course outclasses it if much faster memory shows up.

Switch 1 was way lower tier when it entered market comparatively imo, and look still how peoples were puzzled by some tech wizardry when it came to TOTK.

All talk of future handhelds are basically hanging in the balance of what happens with China and Taiwan with increasing rumors that China goes in by 2027

But even with say future handheld unlocks new memory bandwidth and managed a PS5 in handheld form with no compromises, we're full in on flopflation and diminishing returns, now more than ever in history of mobile vs consoles, switch 2 would not « age like milk ».
Great breakdown muchas gracias señor

That's what people who were never going to buy it say.

Meanwhile these same ppl are buying $600 consoles, $700 handhelds, $1,000 phones, $1,200 graphix cards and $1,400 TVs...but $450 for the latest in portable hybrid tech is breaking the bank...🙄
well to be honest it will be expensive for a lot of households...there's a reason why the switch lite was a thing.
lots of moms will have to say no when their children ask for a switch 2 for Xmas
