My wife thinks I'm crazy because the moment a certain time of day hits when people outside can see in, blinds are closed. She always says "no one is out there staring at us". How the shit does she know?!?! Haha.

A friend's wife actually will not live out in the country for this very reason. The blackness of the night where there are no street lights freaks her out too much and even though they live in a suburb the curtains are always shut come sundown. It's crazy but that's the power of fear.

For me, I just don't want people looking in on me and my family when we're settling in for the evening. I've been on many walks with my mom when I was younger and got all kinds of glmpses into homes of dontgiveafucks. Not something I'm comfortable with.

But this reminds me. It's my one and only unexplained event. While on a walk with my mom, we stopped at a local pizza place for a couple slices. They had their back door open which over looked a pond. We saw a bright streak go by and both looked at each other, questioning if we saw that. When we finished and left, we looked up at the moon and saw a smoke trail, purposely stopped at the moon, went up and around it and continued the previous straight line. It never made sense because only folks from our vantage point would see it not crossing the moon. Major gust of wind at that altitude shifting the smoke trail coincidentally around the moon? Crazy.

I don't give a fuck. My window outlooks the street we live on and I have my blinds up half the time in winter.

I've actually experienced something similar. I was 15, it was 2 AM and I was staying up late playing F.E.A.R. The lights were on. The desk I was playing at is located under a small window. Right as I took off my headphones, I heard a faint knocking sound, but thought I'd imagined it. As I'm putting away my stuff I clearly hear the knocking sound again, so I stand up and look out the window. At first, I only see my own face reflected in the glass, but then I notice the eyes looking back at me aren't mine. Somebody's standing outside the window, looking in. A woman.

I'd just been playing a horror game, so obviously, I take a step back and go "whoa!" My mom, asleep upstairs, hears this, and comes rushing down. The woman outside starts blabbering about the local laundry works, which is just down the street. It's 2 AM, though, so I have no idea why she needs to be there at that hour. My mom points her in the right direction, waits until she's gone, double-checks the locks and goes to bed.

To this day, I still have no idea why that woman was out there. :lol

Had a really scary experience last night:

Was talking to my girlfriend on the phone at around 11:15. I'm sitting in my office which is on the first floor of the house. I'm totally home alone aside from my dog by my side and my cat in the living room. I started to hear footsteps coming from upstairs. Like, someone with heavy boots were walking around up there. I owed it to random house noises, but then I heard it again. I flipped out and didn't know what to do, and was especially scared considering I'd forgotten to lock my front and back door. My girlfriend vocally guided me out of the house with my dog and told me to get in my car just in case I need to leave. I stayed in the car for about 30 minutes before finally checking back inside. I didn't call the cops because I wasn't entirely sure of what I'd heard.

I haven't told my girlfriend this yet, but this morning, I saw footprints embedded into my carpet upstairs. They were big shoe prints. I'm not sure if someone was in my house, or if this was paranormal, but I now keep my doors locked at all times.

I really need to stop going into paranormal-creepy GAF threads before I go to sleep.

EDIT: Wait, if you were on the first floor...wouldnt you have been able to hear/see someone coming in the front or back?

Yeah its not even a case of being scared of something crazy happening, just the fact that I dont want people I dont know, being aware of what i'm doing in my home/what I have in my home at any given time. Kinda leaves you open for theft if the wrong person is in the neighborhood at the moment.

Something super strange just happened and I wanted to write it here before I go back to bed so I don't forget (night/dreams are weird like that). I was having problems sleeping and had been kind of drifting in and out of sleep. I think I was awake, but of a sudden I got this massive chill like images of a surveillance camera or someone in the room. My body seized up or something, I can't really explain it, but I could also hear my wife and felt like maybe she was experiencing the same thing, but that we couldn't connect to each other. I kind of likened this at the time like an un-traditional bomb, like an EMP or something that was affecting us both, but it did something so we couldn't "connect" about what was happening. I was fully awake at this point (I think?) but when i closed my eyes (I dont think i had the choice?) I could see stars and planets and then it switched to buried dinosaur fossils. When it subsided and I asked her if she was okay, and she said she had just had a bad dream that she couldn't wake up from until I called her. I asked what her dream was about and she said it was about her dad (who died ten years ago) but she couldn't place why it was about him. She said something was chasing her, but she couldn't get away. Something like a ghost or something, because she kept saying "amitofo amitofo" but it wasn't helping.

Just thought it was strange as fuck we both experienced *something* simultaneously. I felt a need to check our daughter and the news or something (disturbance in the force, ha), but nothing. Happened about 3:05 AM, just in case.

Zigzagging? :p

Dunno what the first was, could've been a plane, could've been something else. Second kinda sounds like a shooting star.

Yeah, it was kinda like that except I've seen shooting stars before, and this was much 'flashier' and more colourful. Probably something burning up in the atmosphere.

Sounds very much like a satellite, except for the zigzags.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QX4ZIHkU3OQ (Not my video, just an example)

If you stare at the sky long enough you'll see them every minute or so. They can go at quite a rate, and depending on their position, they can be "star" like or much brighter. I have a lovely piece of software called Stellarium that tracks them in real time. Brilliant for sky watching.

That's cool - as you say though, this was not moving in an exactly straight line, it was zipping about a bit.

Anyway, I love looking at the night sky as well. I was in the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan once and the sky there was just mind blowing.

Several years ago, while on a vacation in Canada with my family, one night, I had to go the bathroom, so I did. But before I left the bathroom, I heard a thump like someone was outside and as I stepped outside, I saw two shadows on the wall and heard two people speaking in something that sounded like a mix between Russian and Korean.

Scared the shit out of me.

Possibly raccoons, I remember walking home late at night once past a bunch of shrubbery and heard what sounded like people arguing in Russian on the other side. I was a bit startled so I waited a few minutes and a couple of raccoons ran out of the bushes a few feet in front of me. It's strange how human they can sound sometimes.

Possibly Russian Racoons

Like a year ago, I was just browsing the internet normally with my headphones on. I had music on. But then I started to hear another voice through my headphones, sort of like a Mission Impossible message. I don't think it was English. I paused iTunes. The voice kept going. I checked my tabs, nothing. No sites I had would have had any sound. I close the tabs, and then I closed the browser, I close all programs on my computer, but the voice kept on going for another 20 seconds or so.

Very strange. I was baffled.

That can be simple radio overbleeding into your headphones. If your headphones are new, that should not happen, but as they get older, they tend to pick up stuff like that. My old pair could basically channel radio all the time when there was nothing playing on it.

Yeah probably (though, they were quite new, I think). Strange.

That was probably what it was, but it still doesn't explain the shadows. (the shadows themselves looked like humans, but very odd shaped, probably cause shadows tend to)

Also I remember on the same trip, I dreamed that I was abducted by aliens and they put some piece of machinery inside my left leg and when I woke up, I had a long mark on my left leg that wasn't there when I went to bed.

Not really paranormal (I don't think) but when me and my parents moved into our new house like 6 years ago, my Mum was decorating and stuff and a silver doorknob fell on her head from no where. There was absolutely no where it could have fallen from. She chucked it away because it freaked her out loads.

My Mum has had loads of paranormal experiences though. When she was like 19 she rented out a room in this basement of flats and apparently things turned on in the middle of the night like TV's, and when she woke up things sometimes were in different places than they were the night before. She's also told me that one night she felt something get into bed with her even though there was nothing there. When she moved out she found out that the place had been built on top of what used to be a morgue.

Also when I was like 1 or 2 I used to point into her room when I was just about to go to bed and say "Man on mummy's bed"
even though it was only me and her in the house.

Also something that my Nan and Mum saw when she was 16. My mum was going to her boyfriends house and it was my mum, Nan and granddad in the car and my Mum and Nan both saw at exactly the same time electrical lines fall down and start snaking across the road, apparently they hit a car and it flipped over. My Mum and Nan were freaking out yet my Granddad couldn't see anything. When my Nan and Granddad were coming back from dropping my Mum off apparently my Nan told me Granddad to slow down because there was bound to be police and ambulances and stuff yet when they got there everything was normal, none of the lines were down and the car that flipped wasn't there.
Fuck, I got chills
and that kinda stuff never gets me.

About six years ago me and my family lived in a nice little neighborhood. almost every night you could hear the neighbor across the street singing loudly
(not actual words but a melody). For one entire week we heard it every night, around the end of the week there was a big commotion with police cars etc.
My sister talked to a family member of the neighbor and was told that she had died or killed herself around a week before.

around the day of the death, we had this rocking horse thing for about 5 years without it making a single noise.
That night we were watching a movie together and it just started going crazy out of nowhere down the hallway didn't stop for hours.
(probably a coincidence but it really creeped us out when we realized the day)
That family member stayed and cleaned out the house, every once in a while you could faintly hear it again after she left.

I had the same thing happen. It ended up being some adware player that hides in your profile directories in hidden folders. Sometimes you can get lucky and see it in your process list to get the exact name, but yeah it bugged the piss outta me as well.

It's the little things that creep me out the most... Like, I checked the time on my watch this morning and it was set back an hour, but not exactly; it was a few minutes fast. My watch isn't really anywhere but on my wrist or by my bed when I'm sleeping. It'd been misplaced for a few days beforehand, but I found it (pocket of sweatshirt in the laundry) and hadn't noticed anything strange yesterday. So. THAT was kinda weird.

The super DUPER creepy thing that happened to me though was computer related. It happened a few years ago, and it's fucking bizarre:

So I'm on my friend's computer. I'm house-sitting for them, so they'd set up a guest account for me. I don't use this account the same way I'd use my own computer; it's mostly for just checking emails or fucking around on GAF or chatting with friends on AIM express or whatever, but not serious browsing. I'm never "in the middle" of anything on the computer, just so I don't feel tied down to it. So anyway, I'm killing time when I check Youtube for some idle reason. The page looks different to me and I look up in the corner and see it's logged in. That's strange, I don't have a Youtube account (I do now, but I didn't then). It's logged in to my ex-boyfriend's account. OK, so, we'd been split up for maybe 3 (?) years at that point, and he'd never been over to their house or used their computer for that matter... totally ignoring that why the fuck would he have to log into Youtube on someone else's computer. I froze, just staring at the screen and I got all hot and tingly because I'm fucking confused. I couldn't figure it out. The only connection would be that he works for Youtube (I'm not sure if he still does, but he did at that point) but I still don't know how that would be applicable. The thought crosses my mind to take a screenshot of it and ask him, but I'm too freaked out and just log out immediately.

If it had been like, a hiccough in the system that logged in any random person on any random computer, that would be one thing, but no. It was a heartbreaking ex on the computer I was on, that wasn't even mine. Fucking fuck. Had to take a break from the computer for a while after that.

I did end up emailing him about it, but he couldn't give me any insight to how that might've happened. It still gives me shivers thinking about it.

I remember getting a rather strange phone call when I was about 6 or 7. a mans voice said "I'm coming to get you now." I didn't know who the man on the phone was, but it made me scared shitless. The way he said it was truly sinister. Made me hide in the bushes outside waiting for my parents to come home.

Do you guys know anything about fire omens?

Today I was bitten by two fire ants (two seperate incidents)

Cherry of my cigarette randomly fell off and burned me.

Couldn't properly light matches twice.

All just today. Strange, huh.

You should go buy a motorcycle and a 20 foot chain.

I had my first nightmare in years last night. I watched Ju-on 2 before sleeping, so that's obviously what sparked it.

I can't remember much from the dream, but only how it ended. I was hanging out in my room when I heard knocking on the walls. I looked up and saw the girl's face from the movie. I ran outside and there were about ten of her running at me. I woke up immediately afterward due to hearing myself speaking in some sort of tongues.

I'm honestly still freaked about it.

The brain can do some fucked up things when we're asleep.

My wife thinks I'm crazy because the moment a certain time of day hits when people outside can see in, blinds are closed. She always says "no one is out there staring at us". How the shit does she know?!?! Haha.

I always close the blinds and I can't stand newer construction were they have huge wondows and no blinds at all freaks me out and I have a story why. I grew up in rural Missouri on a farm, we didn't have air conditioning so the windows were always open to let air in through the screens, that night I had my curtains open too. Our house was isolated you might get one person a month stopping by trying to sell you something. It is late, totally dark and I hear a weird sound. I get up out of bed, turn on the light, walk over to the window. I don't hear anything so I lean in all way towards the screen as close as a I can. Then I hear "Hey there" some dudes voice like right next to me, I about shit myself run out to my dad who promptly bails out of the house to find the guy. Turns out his car broke down like a mile away and he was looking to use a phone(no cells then).

Blinds closed. Always.

Holy shit. When I was little I was always afraid of hearing some man outside my window go, Hey, little boy." You just brought that back. Thanks.

This was years ago when I was a little kid, I lived in a very small house with only two bedrooms, and my Mom and Dad slept in one room together and me and my siblings slept in the other room, we had 3 beds in the room and it was a pretty small room but it was manageable, anyway. One night I woke up and they had a doll with them and I was looking at the doll and the doll's eyes randomly blinked and I was shocked that I didn't say anything, I covered my self with my blanket and went to sleep.

I still think about it to this day.

The thought of aliens doesn't really scare me as much as Ghosts. They freak the hell out of me, especially if it's kid ghosts.

I agree. No matter what it is at least I can go out swinging. What am I going to do about a ghost ? Heck depending on what it is , I may even be able to beat it in a fight . Of course I'd rather never be in any situation where I have to find against something.

I used to live near a haunted house. Stories have been told around the whole neighborhood. People being thrown out the door by invisible forces. People moving out suddenly without saying why over the years. My personal experience with the place isn't too pretty. I have trouble remembering which of these events happened first but they did happen. The place is like an old white and blue Victorian house. The place is currently without tenants and the first happening was I happened to be walking by one of the windows when I noticed that the stove is turned on. I run to the neighbors house and tell them to call the fire department. The come out and have to break a window to get in because the place is locked up tight. Inside the stove was a half melted basketball. Fire fighters had no idea how this could have happened.

The second time was the most scariest for me, I had been walking by the house again and I looked into the "living room" and there was a chair sitting there with an individual watching TV. The TV was displaying a clockwise swirl of of various colors, I forget which ones. Then the individual turned to look at me..... The face was distorted and got worse. "His" mouth stretched to lengths that should have not been possible. I was frozen in fear and could not move or call for help. Eventually I overcame the paralyzing fear and ran. I went back later and there was no TV, chair, or man.

Last one, I was in the house because my aunt was being payed to clean the place and I was helping. I was in a room of the house by myself when the walls started to "bleed". It wasn't like those movies where it is just covering the entire wall. More like someone got cut and a line of blood was going down their arm type of bleeding. Needless to say I left and brought my cousin into the room who was also helping. The "blood" was gone.

Wow, that sounds absolutely terrifying. I don't think I could ever live next to place like that after the whole man in the chair incident.

I had an experience that freaked me the fuck out back when I was in college at FSU. I was playing Dreamcast with a friend in my dorm room, either NFL2K1 or NBA2K1, and the pizza that we ordered arrived. I paid for the pizza and set it down on my bed. I had had the urge to pee for a while at that point, so we paused the game and I went to pee. But before I left I said to my friend, "Don't eat any of the pizza yet." to which he agreed. I went and did my business and when I came back, I opened the pizza box and there a fucking slice missing! Of course I suspected my friend at first, but then I just came out and asked him, "Hey man, did you take a slice?!" and he said that no, he did not. Couldn't sleep for days after that.

Oh fucking hell, this is horrible.

Anyway, have you guys ever heard about the landslide that happened in Armero, Colombia?

Thousands of people dead in a minute, people screaming for their lives because they didn't think it was going to be that massive or just didn't want to abandon their homes. A radio show that has paranormal specials (because they had their own incident, heard by thousands of people) investigated and with help of a medium (or something) found out through a girl (whose death was recorded in video, just search "niña armero" in YouTube, if you want to see it) that the entire town was in a loop, living their lives normally in a spiritual world or something.

Holy hell at that part :0 This house definitely sounds creepy as hell.

Looked like this?

Okay this isn't really creepy, but I still want to know why it happens.

Ghost poops.

Why do they happen? Why do I go to the potty and I know I go, but there's nothing in the toilet and nothing on my butt when I wipe.

Is there like some kind of butt demon inside of us?
