The Lunch Legend

GAF's Nicest Lunch Thief and Nosiest Dildo Archeologist
Yes, it is a weird poll, but another thread got me thinking about this. I choose cremation. The only reason I can really think of is my Grandparents were all cremated and their ashes spread over the same farm ground. Also, I don't want bugs crawling all over my corpse when I die. So I guess I am just following suit. So what is your preference and why?

What about the option of donating your body to science? It doesn't cost a thing (I heard even your survivors get some kind of monetary or tax benefit from it, not 100% sure about that though), you will help students or researchers, and usually afterwards you're cremated anyways. Lets face it, when you're dead what happens to your body is the last thing on your mind.

Now that I think about it, being cremated and having my ashes put in a bottle of Vagisil would be pretty neat..

If there would be a tax benefit or something like that, I would donate myself, if not, I would maybe still do it cuz I'm fucking dead then anyway.
If donation would be no option, than cremation I guess.

I think being buried is somewhat more appealing though I’ve put cremation in my will as it’s better for the bank and more efficient on space.

I’d be up for donation if there was some benefit during my living life, however as it stands there is not so I will not.

Donate whatever is useful, whether that be organs or letting someone practice by cutting me up. I’ll be dead, why waste space in the ground when I can potentially be useful in some way?

Burial all the way. That gives you the option to buried with “treasure” and have the chance being used in future Serpentor cloning op. Or maybe you will comeback as a zombie after the outbreak. So many options. Gotta think the long game.

I've had several family members die this year, and, personally, the gravestone ended up being more important than I realized. I used to say, just cremate me and do whatever. Now, I don't know. Having a place to go, having a marker of a life, it provides a "center". At least for me it does.

I chose burial, but more because of the physical stamp you can leave behind. For me, cremation or burial doesn't really matter, as long as there's something left behind.

I have long accepted dying and death as not a bad or fearful thing. So, I'm ready to go whenever or whatever causes it. My family wants a burial but I'm against that in a sense. I feel that if I'm cremated, no one will be tempted to spend the extra for a headstone and cemetery plot to bury an urn of ashes. Death is final, I don't believe in the supernatural, so I'm not coming back to pat someone on the back and say, "nice grave you made there." Cremation, otherwise it doesn't concern someone who's already dead. I don't like the cemetery plot idea because I don't believe in prayer for the dead and I know there would be some weirdo praying over my decaying body.

I think burial grounds is a stupid concept. I'd like one of those pod things. Become a tree and all that. I imagine a forest sprouting out of dead people would give it some form of protected status too, so with deforestation being an issue, I'll go that route .

Buried with my PC.

Cremation would not work because of my PCs glorious cooling system.

Burial and I already have a spot. Yea it might be weird to have one this young but when my brother passed we bought a family plot together.
I don’t know cremation seems like your sending your body to hell

Cremation. I'd hate to think I'd be taking up space for no reason. Plus I would rather be burned right away than decompose over time. In my local cemetery I see graves with dates going back to the 1800. Do these graves have actual visitors? It just seems very sad. I know I will be forgotten rather quickly especially since I will survive most of my family and have no kids or a wife, it just seems like a grand expenditure that ultimately will mean nothing.

How long does it take for coffins to break down though?? Hundreds of years?

I've seen exhumations decades later and shit was intact. Fucking clothes even were still good for a night out.
A cheap ass wooden coffin falls apart quite quickly (my preferred choice). On the other hand the best thing you can do is get a metal coffin, so you can bathe in your decomposing bodily fluids for decades to come (/s).

Cremated, then my ashes infused into cherry jello and vodka, then set in a mold that i made out of my body before cremation.
Then set out on a shake table where my family and friends eulogies me and then do shots of me.

Donate all of my useful/functional/vital organs to hospitals and science and stuff.

The rest of me can be buried in a graveyard in Irithyll of the Boreal Valley lol.
