Crime journalist Chris Hansen reportedly involved with documentary investigating Roblox’s child safety issues

Famous Roblox vigilante "Schlep" has been banned from Roblox after extensive work on predatory users and predatory games within Roblox. This has caused a worldwide controversy highlighting child abuse concerns with some countries straight up banning Roblox, while other countries such as the US filing multiple lawsuits.

Chris Hansen was famous for his work on dateline's "To Catch a Predator". It looks like he has reached out to Schlep and may be involved in a documentary going into Roblox's safety issues.

To Catch a Predator was one of the funniest shows of the mid-2000s.

I'll never forget the guy who knew he was being lured into a trap, but couldn't resist his urges. When he saw Chris Hansen pull up, he said he knew it was a sting and he just wanted to test it. He took off and promptly got arrested.

This should be fun to watch unfold. Hansen won't be intimidated by cease-and-desist letters.

Maybe Roblox can become a church then nobody would care.

Hey now, don't give their CEO ideas. Especially since this would also let them be tax exempt in the US.

The child safety issues with Roblox have been going on for far too long. I'm glad to see it being thoroughly exposed and hope to see more legal action taken against the Roblox company. A Chris Hansen documentary will only amplify the issues so I also hope to see it happen too.

It begins.

Well, well, well… it will be interesting to see if any other State AGs join the lawsuit.

Roblox has been getting away with shit for years, that I am legit surprised they haven't been sued before like this.

The 42-page suit points to a raft of sexually explicit "experiences" that have been on the platform, including "Escape to Epstein Island," "Diddy Party" and "Public Bathroom Simulator Vibe," and it alleges that a man arrested on suspicion of possessing child sexual abuse material in Louisiana last month was using the platform at the time he was taken into custody.

Wow. Honestly, this is the main reason I stopped playing online multiplayer games. Anytime I ended up in a group and heard what sounded like a kid, I'd think, "Yeah, I'm too old for this." It happened so often that I finally gave up on multiplayer entirely and stuck to single-player experiences, and I haven't regretted it since.

I worked with a guy who got Chris Hansened. Looking forward to how this turns out.
I didn't work with the person directly but we had a frequently hired contractor that got gathered up in a multi-state operation about a decade ago. Kinda scary to find out, literally, how close these disgusting subhumans can be.

Interesting vid on the topic of Roblox and this latest news (the kidnapping). TLDW: dude made the ultimate sacrifice and played it so we don't have to - he found a lot of stuff. Beyond the metric shitload of stuff that's inappropriate for kids; there was monetization that makes phone games look tame, blatant copyright infringement (even Nintendo IPs - eg. sound bites ripped right from their games), no real checks to make sure kids can't access obvious adult content, etc.

It made me think of how games are perceived by the general public and how that perception lets loonies like Collective Shout and payment processors censor our hobby. Roblox is an example of everything that is wrong with gaming and it's flew under the radar for so long because it's "for kids" (which makes it even worse, imo).

Lol
It's not about the children
It's about controlling us
Remember those fuckers allowed naked men to show their privates to children in Pride Month
