They can't seem to catch a break.

Kinda interesting that they all seem to be community managers or in the PR segment.

This as well as TA are among the first to go in a RIF.

There is no surprise that Crystal Dynamics would be impacted.

This is the reality facing a lot of the studios under Xbox as well when the axe comes down.

Aren't they involved with the Perfect Dark reboot? Thought those of all devs would be safe since Xbox presumably foots the whole bill

Unfortunate. Hope they all land on their feet. This whole Embracer fiasco continues to prove the negative effects of industry consolidation.

That's a very good point; I completely forgot about that.

And in this case, how does this layoff impact Perfect Dark? Also, who made this decision: Embracer or Microsoft or both?

Hope she finds a new job, sadly she wasn't there long enough to actually produce something

Ah that's too bad about Rinny, she's one of the best CMs. Hopefully she and everyone else lands on their feet again.

How does this impact Perfect Dark and why wasn't the publisher footing the bill?
Maybe Microsoft was. It's a very similar situation to Firewalk Studios (before Sony's purchase) and, in this particular case, Deviation Games.

In the case of Deviation, everybody correctly assumed that it was Sony who wasn't happy with their product and pulled the plug.

This CD situation (so far) seems to be PR positions as well.

I'm guessing with Microsoft handling Perfect Dark and Amazon handling Tomb Raider, Embracer saw any internal PR and communications positions as redundancies.

Looks like mostly PR and marketing people.

Embracer should not be allowed to buy anything else given how they cant seem to afford the people they do have.
