I'd disagree, but it's purely subjective. Still, I like the consistency and simplicity of it, as it's clean way to get some branding going. I find it generally more eye catching than some of the other more typical ads (The Suffering 2, Kameo), so I think that in itself makes them effective. Something about the Metorid Pinball just invokes some '80s nostalgia for me.
