EZA 7.5/10
I'm 20 hours in on PC and that seems like a fair score to me.
This is a true review by someone who really plays and understand gaming design and not just hyperbole like Windows Central review.

Link?Wow, Jeff from Giantbomb grilled CDPR hard on the last podcast.
Link?
Take care because some here will say the PC version doesn't crash and if it is crashing is because you have a shit PC.That's great. I wish I had that experience. I was playing on a fresh install of Windows (nothing but the required drivers, Steam, and Cyberpunk 2077 installed) on a decent system (3700X, 2080 Super, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB NVMe SSD) and I had a bunch of problems. Regular crashing, getting stuck in a main mission and not being able to progress, etc. I decided to put it down and come back in a month or so. That said, it looked, for the most part, absolutely stunning. Looking at CPU/GPU temperatures, my PC runs cooler playing that game than it does playing Apex Legends.
I know you didn't say this but your post made me want to add the general point that having a PC is not necessarily the way to avoid the issues like I've seen some people saying it is. Sure, it looks and performs (way) better than it does on any console but it's not without its issues for some people. It's a shame.

sorry to hear you had that experience. maybe try running the latest version of windows and make sure you have the most up-to-date nvidia drivers?
There are very similar in concepts I believe. Is there a good reason you guys keep comparing this to Horizon Zero Dawn?

While you play it at start it really remember Horizon... after it start the departure.
Is there a good reason you guys keep comparing this to Horizon Zero Dawn?
I remember the players made fun of Horizon Zero Dawn with its 89 metacritic.
so i find it funny that these same players are defending cp2077 tooth and nail while he has much less.
that karma
Well a lot disagree with you.No, they're not similar at all, WTF
Well a lot disagree with you.
Ohhh God.No they don't. No one who actually played both games thinks they're similar games.
Ohhh God.
"In many ways, my session with Cyberpunk 2077 reminded me of Horizon Zero Dawn. I'm predicting that, like that game, the world of Cyberpunk will end up being its most fascinating component."
Cyberpunk 2077 hands-on: Possibly the year's most ambitious game
I got to play five hours of the upcoming blockbuster. It was a lot to take in.www.cnet.com
1 > No one.
Think about what? There is a lot of similarities in both games... just because the combat is different not make it doesn't have similar concepts.Cnet is where I go for all my video game reviews. Your first 5 hours of Cyberpunk 2077 are 80% at least conversations, think about that while you compare it to a game where you go around shooting arrows into robot dinosaurs lol.

You asked why... and you didn't like the reply.... I can't help you with that.
Your opinion is not universal.
People compare Cyberpunk with GTA... for me Cyberpunk is way more similar to Horizon Zero Dawn than GTA.
Another point we disagree.I wasn't saying the combat is different, I was pointing to one game having an actual COMBAT FOCUS and the other doesn't. Cyberpunk 2077 is first and foremost an RPG, Horizon Zero Dawn is first and foremost an action game, they both have open worlds, they're both gorgeous and while yes Horizon Zero Dawn has some basic leveling and a few dialogue choices it's nowhere near the RPG elements of Cyberpunk which take front and center, two players can go through Cyberpunk 100% differently, not so with Horizon Zero Dawn, you'll be shooting things with a bow and laying traps no matter who you are, as opposed to someone sitting back and hacking everyone in a combat arena in Cyberpunk, or someone else stealthing through it all or another person going in guns blazing. It's such a weird comparison point and being better than comparing it to GTA is a low bar to clear.
Another point we disagree.
Cyberpunk departs a lot from RPG.... in fact it is more a action-adventure story just like Horizon.
It probably was a RPG in the past but CDPR changed the direction.
BTW I don't consider AC, Cyberpunk, Horizon, etc... RPG.
Because horizon zero dawn was guerillas first open world game. It was announced in 2015, came out two years later..Is there a good reason you guys keep comparing this to Horizon Zero Dawn?
Cyberpunk shits all over HZD and it's empty world filled with fetch quests and one of the worst climaxes ever seen in a game, that shit was a boner killer, literally final boss was just a regular old enemy lmaooooDid that dude actually say Cyberpunk 2077 and Horizon Zero Dawn are very similar in concepts?
Because horizon zero dawn was guerillas first open world game. It was announced in 2015, came out two years later..
I think guerilla's metrics for horizon are more impressive than Cyberpunk's metrics being announced since 2012 and releasing the way it did with all this drama.
I think it shows that guerilla has a big chance to make a big jump with horizon forbidden west and we'll see what happens, they need to improve a lot but it's impressive nonetheless that they hit higher cords on the first try.
Well you never know with EDGE. I think they may like it, but if they don't then that META will continue to tank......If Giant Bomb releases their review looking at how much they are giving this FLAK, the META will drop even further....87 after 40 from Quarter to Three, this guy is a terrible reviewer, but again 87 still too high
Open Critic will be around 75 when all reviews drops, MC PC version I bet 84 or 85, there is probably another +20 reviewsScore down to 87/100 on metacritic and 82/100 sur opencritic
I think it will drop even more with more reviews
I won’t go that far with OC but I’m really on the 77-78 side... 83-84 for MC.Open Critic will be around 75 when all reviews drops, MC PC version I bet 84 or 85, there is probably another +20 reviews
You expect a similar drop in both, but I can't see a case where OC drops only 4~5 points with a ton (probably 10~15 reviews) of >60 scores from console versions and less favorable PC reviews and I can see MC dropping 3~4 points only reviews from PC, but I expect OC to have a bigger drop.I won’t go that far with OC but I’m really on the 77-78 side... 83-84 for MC.
I do believe the first 40 9-10/10 were all bullshit ignoring all the game issues.
I too believe the game is pretty great but rushed... it will be a 9-10/10 experience only after tons of patches.
Mismanagement in this project is incredible, now with all the time and resources they will commit to "fix" this game will consume so much time and postpone most of their projects.Holy shit, it's possible this might drop to the lows 80s when all is said and done. This is honestly just really sad to me. Quite literally. It really wasn't that long ago that CDPR was so beloved. TW2 was really good, and TW3 is one of the best games I've ever played. In 2018 these guys were really on top of the world and peaked out with that trailer at E3 2018. Then, barring that Keanu Reeves intro at E3 2019, it was slowly downhill from there. They brutally destroyed their reputation with this game and how they handled it's development and release. And I feel really sorry for the actual devs. All that crunch, and people just absolutely busting their ass on creating this beautiful world and storytelling, all for it to fall apart. I don't know what they originally planned this game to be, but a lot of things obviously went wrong. Just by looking at the character creator from the 40+ minute gameplay video in 2018, it looked like it was going to be a pretty different type of game. It looked RPG heavy. I think the wrong people who had too much pull at the studio, forced the team to make a lot of wrong changes to the game.
I'm still hoping they can find a way to turn this around, and I'm sure there's things they can do to significantly improve the game. But it's never going to be the game they hyped it up ass and what we hoped it would be.
I just hope this whole situation has humbled CD Projekt Red, and they learn to keep their heads down and shut the fuck up with whatever their next game is. Have a clear vision and sense of direction, and don't even announce it until you're locked into what the game will be, and it's close to being finished. It's going to be awhile before they earn people's respect and faith again. They really fucked this up. The frontloaded sales is a very short term victory for them. People won't forget.

Like No Man Sky, I hope they fix most of the bugs and performance issues on PS4/XOne and move on to the next project and take notes from this disaster. It does bring up the very unfortunate question on whether they should spend 2 years fixing and improving the game, or cut their losses after the bug patches and try to do better with their next game. CP77 can be improved. Significantly improved. But I can't see that happening in 6 months. It's probably gonna take a couple of years.

Take note that The Witcher 3, although hyped at the time, had to earn those scores and exceeded expectations, while Cyberpunk hype was so great that it received some extra points on The Witcher 3's back.Oh my God it dropped down 87 and ranked at 34 for the year alone . Holy shit
What a fall from grace from witcher 3 being in the top 3 in 2015
They have no choice but to try and fix it to turn it into a sustainable source of income. They have the MP add on to consider supporting too.
Console sales will dry up fast in the next year or so if they can't make improvements and the bad word of mouth continues to spread.
If it's true that they made all their expenses back already then there shouldn't be any more pressure.
I hope it becomes a much better game a year from now than it is in it's currently state. I've kinda lost motivation to keep playing, and I'd like to hopefully return to it if they fix a lot of shit in it. Not just fix, but also add in things that should've been there in the first place.
