Polygons review is almost entirely dedicated to trans shit nobody cares about. And then talks about the game a little. Why did I even look at that. I'll wait for a real review like Karak Karak
 
Lmao sounds like it's going to get eaten alive because of culture war bullshit and bugs. I'm guessing it will be in the low 80s.

The ads are one of many, many aesthetic choices in Cyberpunk 2077 that are grating with no real point. There's one ad in particular that was the topic of much discussion pre-release; it features a feminine person with a giant, exaggerated, veiny erection in their leotard and advertises a drink called Chromanticore with the tagline "mix it up." It is everywhere. And while the "purpose" of it may be to show what a sex-obsessed, superficial, exploitative place Night City is, there's nothing in the main story or any of the side quests I did that gives it even that much context--I found just one message on one of the many computers I logged into that commented on how low-brow Night City culture is. The result is that there's a fetishization of trans people at every turn, in a game with only one very minor trans character (that I found, at least) and no way to play as an authentically trans character yourself.

I have a theory: Since the game is expected to be pretty amazing, reviewers, in an attempt to be 'different' and 'impartial' will give it a lower score than if it had not been that hyped up. This, coupled with the fact that there are strains of reviewrs out there who will give it lower marks due to not enough SJW pandering by CDPRoject, lead me to believe that the game will be 88MC but will have an overwhelmingly positive user score.
 
The bugs give me pause but if it's like Witcher 3 at launch then I can live with that, if it's like fallout 4 then fuck that. Of course the major publications got an agenda to push.........
 
What's the general consensus when it comes to the negative aspects of the game other than bugs and trans representation?

Were those really all the complaints?
 
Oh Jesus we're already doing this thing where we pick apart the lowest reviews searching for reasons why they shouldn't really count.

these clowns gave low score for Days Gone and one of the negatives they were talking about was that the zombies are all white :lollipop_tears_of_joy:

i'm not really hyped much about CP2077 but i hope it's 90+ just to enjoy the sjw and era tears

I hope those are the only complaints. Bugs can be patched and I give 0 fuckerinos about trans representation.
 
It's fine if someone is so obsessed with gender politics that it's a big part of their review. I just would hope that's reserved for twitter rants and tumblr blogs rather than "mainstream" sites who never used to be so one track minded and ideologically quirky.
