well normally in the US, the DS + game is usually $180 compared to the PSP + game at $290...

but now with Nintendo doing a free Mario DS game w/ DS purhcase, it looks like this:

DS + game = $150

PSP + game = $290

Or in Canada,

DS (no game) = $150 CAD (at CompuSmart)

PSP (no game) = $300 CAD

You're absolutely correct. Once that thing comes out Japan will explode. And of course before Pokemon there's Jump Superstars, Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, Mario Bros., FF3, and Castlevania. This should be interesting.

Well, according to Media-Create the series (all three titles combined) were at 421,540 through June 5/05. Add about 20,000 for last week, and all three versions have moved up the charts for this week, so maybe add another 25,000 - 30,000 for this week, and it's probably somewhere around 465,000 - 470,000 right now. For a brand new IP on a handhald, that is pretty damn awesome. And it is still in the top ten charts on a regular basis. This property has been incredibly successful thus far, and looks to have some mighty long legs.
