MMAWeekly and the Wrestling Observer are reporting that Vince McMahon tried to sabotage the UFC event that went head to head with the 10/3 WWE RAW Homecoming. McMahon tried to lure away UFC announcer Mike Goldberg prior to 10/3, and wanted Goldberg to not tell UFC of his decision to leave and then no-show the 10/3 UFC event. McMahon apparently offered Goldberg a $100,000 bonus to go along with the plan.

Goldberg ended up telling UFC of McMahon's plans. UFC was apparently shocked at the plan since they never considered themselves to be in competition with WWE.
