Damn you EB Games to Hell

So today there is a Cheapass Gamer Rumble Roses deal which is pretty good. And by the time I get to the ebgames site I get the link saying the page you are looking for is gone.

What the hell is their problem, either it's on sale or not, but not for 3 hours.

I also hate when I go in their god damn store and when I just want to buy one game the people who ring me up try to sell me 87 things. Dood I just want to get the hell out of here.

That's why when you go to EB you have to wait a half hour to actually pay for something that you want. All those people before you are getting sold to, too.

GO TO HELL EB.

Lets share our EB horor stories eh?

sorry but you're a slow ass cheap ass gamer

it's the nature of cag. you get in the deal in the first hour or you dont

I would like to find something at EB without an extra protective coating of stickers promoting other shit in the store. Just let me get my game in a good package... I really wonder why they don't just shrinkwrap the gutted cases... not only to protect the manuals, but to keep the actual dvd case untouched.

Hopefully you aren't rude to them. Do you really think the clerks want to push that stuff? Hell no. They are forced to do so and will lose their jobs if they do not. It's a shit situation for the clerks.

That's a horror story? You saved yourself time and money, that's a godsend.

Misleading thread title.

Or when the throw on that extra sticker so they know if you opened your game, you know the one I'm talking about.

Demi I still hate them either way.

And no I'm never rude to the clerks, I know its their job to pimp shit at the register.

I thought EBGames got bought by Gamestop a while back, how come they're still around? Or are Gamestop keeping the brand name to pretend that there's still competition?

You don't want them to shrinkwrap. The heat guns actually melt the outer plastic lining that protects the paper sleeve underneath. The DVD cases would be in considerable worse condition with shrinkwrapping.

Most of the stickers these days have a lighter adhesive on them and are rather easy to peel off and remove. I don't like them so much either, but I prefer them to shrinkwrapping.

You can throw all that out the window if you're referring to NEW games though. Those should never be opened. I usually buy from Target, Best Buy, Toys R Us, etc. if I'm getting "the last one" at EB.

I work at EBGames up here in Canada, btw, the gamestop merger barely affected us, if it does, we haven't seen any changes other than the fact the US is setting ridiculous goals that all the Canadian stores are laughing at).

Anyways, those 'extra stickers' are there for the return policy - normally, well at least in our store, they are clear, so they are just basically a seal you'd normally find. As much as I hate it, and I know others hate it, the odds of you getting the 'gutted' copy of the game is pretty high, especially on stuff that moves quickly... Anyways, that sticker is so we can take the game back if you decide you don't want it -and it's still sealed. Without that, the whole return policy is shot out the window.

We also have those stupid ass "RETURNABLE WITHIN 14 DAYS IF SEAL IS UNBROKEN" ones, but we only use that when we run out of the clear ones, which is rare.

Hahah. The sale doesn't begin when CAG reports on it. It's a clearance sale. They're trying to get rid of a certain number of units of crappy product. Once sites like CAG and message boards get ahold of it, of course they'll go like wildfire. Nature of the business. Don't be a jerk.

They said from the get-go that it'd take a year before they start integrating. Things like that take a long long time. They haven't even formally merged yet.

It's possible to shrinkwrap dvds without harming the case at all. We do it at my store all the time, with no damage to either the case nor the disc itself, and the paper underneath is fine. Heat guns have different heat levels. The lower the heat, the longer it takes, but it's a difference of a few seconds at the most.

But i'm saying who is it?

I'm married so i aint trying to be all up in shorty's business, i just wanna know who she is, she is fine, anyone with a brain can see that.
